Most people realize the difference between one desperation play with less than a minute left, and having the same play be the standard move in most situations.

Marner hasn't had a good tournament, but the people saying he's been trash this game clearly has an agenda.

He definitely was better today but still not what most had expected. That's what happens when the TSN hype train starts rolling add to the fact he's a leaf prospect and expectations are through the roof.

As a big knights fan. I see a lot of similarities w. Gagner and Marner at this level.

So Lowry wanted to find chemistry during the tournament but all he's done is make things more confusing by changing lines every damn period it seems. What a disaster he's been. I have no idea what the lines are going to be in the QF. I know one thing Lowry can make history if we lose on Saturday.

Agreed. Last time Canada had one regulation victory in the group stage was 1981 when club teams represented (Cornwall Royals). Thanks Lowry.

Sweden has 2 Olympic gold and WC´s, wich is amazing. Small country. AMAZING people. Just amazing. I would be so proud being a Swede.

Sure, they're a great hockey nation.

Just strange to be so dominant at the group stage but have issues in the elimination games.

Team Canada gets schooled in an embarrassing display that lacked heart, effort and chemistry.

Blame Virtanen.

Seems about right.

This year's Gauthier, Murphy, Lipon, Della-Rovere etc.

Canadian fans pick one player and **** all over them.

what exactly makes him a good prospect? i keep hearing "well this sample size doesn't change that" but since shoulder surgery he has not been a good prospect.
Didnt know that, that adds even more reasoning .Probably the first time kid has had a injury like that ,might be a bit for him to overcome .Kid hasnt forgotten how to play hockey ,he is just having a tough go of it .He is still just a teenager ,give him some time

Good game by Sweden. Canada played the way they need to play for roughly 15 minutes of game time, then settled into typical meandering play. Little hope for the rest of the tournament.

blah blah blahy blah, yeah yeah we knows Canada is the best hockey nation in the world, we usually lost because all our players are in NHL blah blah blahy blah :shakehead

How many Golds over that stretch?

It's a bit of a strange stat when you compare them.

Heh yeah.

My guess is that since we often have a team with a lot of pro experience, we don't step on mines as often as most junior teams. However, the further on we go the more talent becomes the deciding factor and we lose that edge.

We'll be fine we're team Canada

*next question

"We'll be fine"
