Lowry thinks they played great, they just need more discipline. Help.

He's a coach who is calling for a 3-yard run when he needs a Hail Mary.

Solid game.

Swedes not disturb by little cheap shot and the wave of hitting.

Canada was a bit sloppy with the puck and the 10 000 off sides. poor.

But you said "Think Sweden will be as good next year without Nylander??", implying that he's a big part of their success so far. Which is nonsense, since Willie has played roughly half a period so far.
Bad wording and you are right ,Sweden is the more experienced of the two teams ,that the angle is was going for ,and today it showed

I'd scratch Jake Virtanen next game.

He's doing nothing by hurting the team.

Nah, he's gunning for history so he needs to play.
I wonder if a 19 year old top-6 pick playing top 6 minutes/pp time has ever gone the tourny without a point?

Canada looked super tired for some reason. Sweden just skated circles around them
Probably because Lowry massively overplays his stars, and barely plays everyone else. Agreed that the Canadian stars look tired, which IMO is understandable given how much they're playing.

I don't know about that. When you're 18 you can play every day.

So Lowry wanted to find chemistry during the tournament but all he's done is make things more confusing by changing lines every damn period it seems. What a disaster he's been. I have no idea what the lines are going to be in the QF. I know one thing Lowry can make history if we lose on Saturday.

Maybe Alex will be in the NHL ;) No Nylanders for nobody!

Canada haven't really found their way, but they could still be really scary in a best of 1 game with everything on line. Some scary talented players still on that roster.

"As they lost to...Kazakhstan"

My god I hope that pops up somewhere on the internet

The Key to the swedish success is the defense.

They have been churning out these big and mobile D for a while now.

Its like watching a CHL team playing against an AHL D corps.

This team would get smoked by that team. Hard to call this team a team though, no identityy/cohesion/chemistry/star power/etc.

We have plenty of star power, given the number of 1st rounders. Agreed on the previous 3 points though.

Great game today Swedes .. Really made the Canadians pay on the PP. And the team is a level above Canada - Canada's only chance was to skate hard and play physical.

Can't imagine how good it would be if the elder Nylander wasn't injured
