Im stuck at work reading this thread..

All I know is everyone sucks, especially virtanen and Marner..

Sanheim needs more minutes, strome is jesus reincarnated, Barzal should have went 1st OA.

Lowrey sucks.

Did I miss anything?

Knock it off with the personal vendettas and digs at fan bases. It's off topic and trolling. If you can't discuss the players in a civil manner you won't be allowed to discuss them at all.

You will be infracted and removed from the thread. Enough.

They needed a shootout to beat Switzerland?

Maybe we'll start winning a bit in the Olympics in about 10 years.

LOL I said the same thing a few pages back

That's pretty much the HF summary of the game

It's really puzzling how Lowry handles this team. Rolls 3 lines essentially and really goes to the well with his horses. He gives them free rein too to stay out as long as they please. His big horses are an underwhelming bunch compared to past teams.

Quite frankly, the coaching is the thing most holding Canada back in this tournament.

The forwards shouldn't be taking shifts over a minute, and even though I'm a Sens fan, and Chabot has been good, he shouldn't be on the ice every other shift (though it's probably only because he's paired with Hicketts).

It's hilarious! I didn't get to watch the game as I was at work but followed the game through this forum. First two periods, everyone wAs gushing about chabot, even leaf fans, then complete reversal after the game. A couple of bad shifts doesn't make him the worst.
Yes, his shot may not be the best but he has the most poise of all the dman. He can slow down the game and create great breakouts. On the power play he controls where the puck goes and creates a structure not chaos like the first PP unit.

Barzal at 16 looks like a steal.

Good job by Switzerland coming out hard and getting a point, well deserved. Embarrassing effort by Canada for the most part. Lowry needs to figure out his lines and he needs to do it for the Sweden game. This team has too many puckhandlers and not enough finishers.

Except Team Canada last year was stacked... so probably not. People expect Canada (with a population of 35M) to be the best in every single birth year, which is a testament to how far ahead they are.

At least you guys are starting to see what I was saying in the first game, when Sanheim sees the ice he makes things happen. He was great in this game but for some insane reason Lowry refuses to use him. He'd rather just cycle the top two pairs over and over when it's clearly not working.

I also don't understand why Konecny is stuck on the 4th line and got like 1 shift in the 3rd... he's too skilled to be there.

Strome is by far the best player on this team, I wasn't high on him before the draft but wow has he impressed. I thought Marner was the best player on this team coming in but he's been one of the worst alongside Virtanen.
