One was deflected, one was a shoulder save on a good shot, the other was a pretty standard save on a standard shot.

There's really nothing to judge Fucale on so far tonight... unless of course, you are desperate to see him fail, then I guess you have to make do with what you have.

I'm not sure how Fucale is going to do in this tournament, but it's really amazing the number of people, supposedly Canadian fans, who want to see him fail. Same thing happened in the Canada/Russia series when he makes 40+ saves one night and people still had nothing positive to say.

I dislike some decisions that were made for the final roster, but I agree with your point. I'm not a huge Fucale fan, even as a Habs supporter, but unless Fucale is a piece of **** human being then I hope he owns.

Tell that to Spezza. Some playmakers excel with a long stick.

Spezza is terrible defensively and spent an extra year in junior and then a year split between the minors and NHL because of it, and he's still one of the worst defensive forwards in the league. Look where Dallas is in the standings thanks in part to his one dimensional play. So a big stick hasn't helped him in that regard. (Also, Eichel will be way better than Spezza.)

Haven't seen anything so far to prove that theory. Aside from his linemates missing some great setups.

Seems more like something a scout once said and has stuck with him.

Fucale is use to this... It's been this way everywhere he plays.

Not in Halifax this year. They have a bunch of rookies on defense and are a re-building team.

People on these boards are way too skeptical of Fucale based on what a .890 sv pct this year on a bad team. I've watched him a ton the last 3 years and I have all the faith in him. All I can say is I hope he proves all the naysayers wrong.
