This could make sense. Don't think VAN would add anymore though.
Columbus also needs a goalie... wouldn't this be crazy?
To Columbus:
Demko (potential starting goalie to increase their ceiling - won't do anything with Tarasov/Merz)
Boeser (a top goalscoring RW - have plenty of cap to re-sign)
To Vancouver
Rakell (replaces Boeser at a fraction of the cap hit - cost controlled which is good)
Jarry (half retained - will still be a negative value asset but will be a backup to Lankinen as Silov isn't responsible)
Sillinger (someone who probably needs a fresh start - been playing better lately but is a young controllable forward that could use more opportunity... Columbus has abundance of these middle six guys, needs more high-end talent)
To Pittsburgh
CBJ 1st round pick
CBJ 3rd round pick
Columbus gets a high end goal scorer that they can easily re-sign - also gets a potential Vezina bounce back candidate to address their atrocious goaltending.
Pittsburgh gets a first (+middling picks/prospects) and gets rid of Jarry at half retained for Rakell - pretty good work for a rebuilding team.
Canucks move on from the old guard and get Rakell who's cost controlled and can still contribute to their playoff chase. Jarry at half retained to be a backup goalie is fine as he's definitely a better option than Silovs. Sillinger is a young middle six guy that can play center with some upside to break out and is still cheap next year.
