Eichel is good, but his stick is way too long and that's going to be a disadvantage for handling the puck in the NHL. McDavid is quicker, more agile, and has that Canadian hockey IQ.

Tell that to Spezza. Some playmakers excel with a long stick.

Fucale not as 'shaky' as people make it out to be.

he had a big scramble about halfway through the first that was pretty sketchy, and made a blocker save look way harder then it needed to be. But he didn't get scored on and that's all that matters at the end of the day.

I found he tried to do a little bit too much on his own. He's got a good team with him, he's gotta remember that. So does McDavid. The guy who uses his team better will be seen as the better player.

I think there is a bit more cohesion needed by them, at least from what I saw. Not a lot different than what we see now with McDavid, IMO. So early yet in the tourney.

Canada needs to stop playing so fancy, most of those passing plays won't work against better teams in the tourney.

Hey if you can get passes through those stick lanes, keep doing it. Take what your opponent gives you. I would assume they wouldn't be daft enough to try some of these same plays against some of the top teams.

Sometimes these kinds of "no work" games are harder on a goalie than being peppered with shots. Hard to stay focused when you're falling asleep in the crease.

Really liked Point one the 4th instead of Gauthier. McDavid line looks disappointing so far, Ritchie and Lazar are too slow.

Because there was a tip that moved the puck halfway across the net and he had to desperately dive in hopes of saving it. The blocker save was on a shot that was up near his ear and was as hard of a save as it looked, Ferraro even noted it.

Made 3 saves...and made them harder than they had to be...

One was deflected, one was a shoulder save on a good shot, the other was a pretty standard save on a standard shot.

There's really nothing to judge Fucale on so far tonight... unless of course, you are desperate to see him fail, then I guess you have to make do with what you have.

I'm not sure how Fucale is going to do in this tournament, but it's really amazing the number of people, supposedly Canadian fans, who want to see him fail. Same thing happened in the Canada/Russia series when he makes 40+ saves one night and people still had nothing positive to say.
