Wow Desharnais goes from being on the 2nd best team last year to the worst team in the NHL in less than 10 months.. OUCH

So Ceci and Desharnais both ended up in San Jose this season at one point. Can't wait to see where Stecher, Gus, Emerson and brown end up after leaving the oil. Elite d core.
Poor guy must be feeling unwanted
It doesn't. It's just replacing old useless crap with old useless crap. At some point Grier has to make an attempt to bring in legit NHL talent.Makes sense for the Sharks. He adds toughness to their roster and can hold down a spot.
They're running low on Future Considerations as wellThat's only because San Jose didn't have any 9th round picks left.
That would have to be the tallest d pairing in the league? LolGiven the extra year that Desharnais has, it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up being the partner to whoever wins the 3rd pairing spot next season for the Sharks. If they end up with Schaefer, it may be him. It may end up being Sam Dickinson. It may end up being Luca Cagnoni. It could end up being Shakir Mukhamadullin if he falters any down the stretch but he's been strong since the break.
Would at least have some entertainment value if it doesn't absolutely suck. lolThat would have to be the tallest d pairing in the league? Lol
Fu.... that's burn..That's only because San Jose didn't have any 9th round picks left.
He should have taken the 1 mill a year contract the oilers offered.
Not taking less in Edmonton may have benefitted him financially in the short-term, but will have definitely cost him long-term.
He would have had plenty of PK time in Edmonton and Oilers have lacked big, physical players that hit. Instead he chased the bigger contract, and with it expectations beyond his capabilities.
Wait 2 days and you may understand.I don't get why San Jose would pay a 5th for a defenseman. They are in the basement and they could pull a D off waivers I'm sure if they need bodies
Please twist that into a good signing. Your team outbid the Oilers for his services and instantly regretted it yet you're here throwing shade lol.Jeez, sounds like the Oilers really could have used a player of Desharnais' skill set.
They probably should have offered him more than $1m/1y instead of spending 10 million on Skinner, Henrique, and Arvidsson while giving them all NMCs.
