Post-Game Talk: Grinding out wins like we’re constipated

JT Miller gonna be yelling at team mates again pretty quick. He was about the only name Ranger that even showed up in the game. Everybody else getting the golf clubs out.

Funny though. Miller fedup of playing for the cough loser canucks, now he's playing with the Rangers the team with the worst work habits in hockey.

I'd deck Panarin just for giggles. Holy f*** was Panarin bad. That one PP where he's throwing the puck away 3X on one shift.

Panarin: "what do I gotta do to get benched" Imagine this absolute turd being your marquee player. I couldn't imagine that from a fan or player standpoint.

Trust me any club built around breadman won't rise.
But Miller gets fed up everywhere he plays??

Cannot believe the lack of talent, watching us absolutely butcher a bunch of 2 on 1's.
There is certainly more talent on the team than what these guys are demonstrating but hockey instincts seem to be shaky this season.

Look at Mc-D--he simply skates into the slot and instead of passing he uses his under rated shot to seal the deal. Keep it simple.

It was a strange 3 pt night. One assist hits his skate, another hits his ass and I can't remember the other one. When Nuge has these multiple pt nights its often been innocuous. just touching the puck.

Rangers fans should be booing their own club though, not Draisaitl. Where'd that come from?

I thought they were booing Drai, but listen again... The Oilers faithful in attendance got a Let's Go Oilers chant going lol. The boos came shortly after the Rangers' fans realized what happened.

Arvid lucky to have the Rangers D pulling a Nurse deflecting it right into the net. I'd hardly call that coming up big. J Skinner had a solid outing. Arvid was his pancake self most of the game.

Good thing this was the inept rangers tonight. What a hopeless performance from all the Rangers core. Telling that in the last couple minutes with goalie pulled it was the Rangers bottom lines out.

Z and Panarin should be fired. What absolutely hopeless performances.

RNH looked better than the whole Rangers club. Telling as well.

Come on Drivesaitl. I know you hate #33, bit your take on his game today is completely wrong. He had an excellent game - kept O-zone pressure, great forechecking, and, of course the goal. He wasn't muscled off the puck today like many days...

#53 looks good out there. I hope he gets more playing time.

If there's going to be someone who should be the one we're picking on, it's #42. Waste of a roster spot...

Shooting at the wrong times, and extremely low percentage.

Maybe a bit of that... But if you look at our PDO at the start of the year, we also just weren't getting the bounces... Eventually it evens out, but for some reason, it hits the Oilers in long stretches at a time.

Still too many turnovers by the forwards. Tonight they had 12 with the defense having 5.

Walman and McDavid each with 3 turnovers. Need to clean that up.

Did anyone else see how McDavid walked off the ice after the game using his stick behind him like a cane? Back issue? Hip?

Any of the usuals here complaining about Oilers turnovers should look at the Rangers baking dozens of hot turnovers every period. What a hopeless club. Rangers are the least disciplined team with the puck. We got a lot of looks tonight.

Rangers are crazy bad. Looked like guys getting golf clubs out. I thought they were trying to feed our goals.
Perfect team for JT miller to go to.

its a special treat watching miller fade away into another lame franchise. Cant stand the arrogant prick.

I haven't followed him that much but his personal history is that he has dressing room troubles everywhere he goes?

Strange that the Media keep saying he's a great guy in the locker room. If so then why is he such a malcontent?

Perry proving me wrong once again. He is elite.

tbh JT Miller is old school. A guy like Messier wouldn't have a problem with him and vice versa. I don't hate the guy, I was jk around. Most times a JT Miller is getting upset is because teammates are playing like ass but we live in a time now where everything has to be sugarcoated and feelings not be expressed and people wrapped in bubblewrap to insulate.

All I really care about is what players are doing on the ice and how much they dig down. Glen Anderson was a straight up asshole to almost anybody. Terrible person to meet as well (I did) but all I cared about is how he could play on the ice and I loved the player.

People that are really passionate now and get upset, they tend to get in trouble. but its the same competitive juices that have classically made great players. Rocket Richard would just as soon score a goal or send somebody to the hospital. Hockey isn't like that anymore and far fewer working class players with a ton of anger are even playing the game now.

Neat Skinner stats.

Skinner playing after Pickard wins his start:
10-2-2
0.925 sav%

Skinner other starts (Pickard didn't win our last game):
13-15-2
0.883 sav%

Skinner brings it when Pickard steals the show the game before. I feel like I've seen this a dozen times this year where Pickard has a great game and everyone (including me) is saying he should be our starter, but Skinner almost always shuts everyone up with his next game after. I guess it's basically been ~a dozen times. But then inevitably back to same old Skinner if he keeps getting more starts after that or Pickard is doing his own faltering.

Seems like some real motivational quirks going on with The Stache.
