Some excellent saves by Stu in the 3rd period but I thought that the heroes in the last frame were the Oiler shot blockers.
The Rangers had a lot of very good chances in close but the boys got their bodies in front of them. A lot of wide shots for the New Yorkers as well.

there are posters here that literally think the reason they look lethargic at times is cause they're "sick of poor goaltending"...like the team is actively not trying in order to stick it to their goaltending

Jeff is one of the few players on this roster willing to take a step into the middle with the puck and shoot with any amount of consistency.
He thinks about the net first every time he gets the puck and he’s probably our only player that has this approach.
If Jeff Skinner goes from healthy scratch to actual asset that would be found money

On another note Mcdavid is starting to look like his old self the last few games. Just getting into playoff form at the right time....
I mean a lot of those shots are Nurse/Kulak/Emberson muffins that a toddler could save. Or yes, even Skinner. The Oilers will all too often pass up shots in prime scoring areas for a lower percentage play. McDavid deferred way too many times in this game before he actually decided he was going to score.
Even if the Oilers play only .500 hockey in the remaining 15 games, the Canucks and the Flames would have to play .800 hockey to catch them. That's pretty unlikely.
