Post-Game Talk: Grinding out wins like we’re constipated

They also think it’s upsetting to us that he had a good game. What kind of backwards logic is that? Thank god we finally got some good goaltending the past 2 games. It feels like Christmas in March.

Yup. I’d be ecstatic if he was a passable starter for more than a game here or there. Unlike some seem to, I don’t cheer against the team

Hopefully Ekholm is back next game. Would be nice to see the dcore all in tact. Though I suspect him and Klingberg aren’t going to look great for awhile when they eventually play.

Hopefully Frederic is almost ready.
They were saying he's back against Winnipeg. I actually think Walman's doing great though so there's no rush. Utah's our next game. We should be able to win without Ekholm

“Finally! A 5v5 goal!” Leon, probably.

Last I heard Frederic won't be ready until end of March.

Some excellent saves by Stu in the 3rd period but I thought that the heroes in the last frame were the Oiler shot blockers.

The Rangers had a lot of very good chances in close but the boys got their bodies in front of them. A lot of wide shots for the New Yorkers as well.

Now fly back home and win a few and that should ensure the playoff spot. Take nothing for granted.

there are posters here that literally think the reason they look lethargic at times is cause they're "sick of poor goaltending"...like the team is actively not trying in order to stick it to their goaltending

what kind of logic is that?

Ekholm has experience on the right side. Would it be too crazy to try him with Nurse and keep this Walman-Bouchard pairing together?
Not crazy at all. The only reason not to is that Ekholm-Bouchard were crazy good last playoffs

It might come down to which of Walman, Kulak or Ekholm plays better on the right side

Reactions: Oilhawks
The Oilers have the most shots in the NHL. By a wide margin. People seem to think we're not firing the puck. Thats not the case at all.
I mean a lot of those shots are Nurse/Kulak/Emberson muffins that a toddler could save. Or yes, even Skinner. The Oilers will all too often pass up shots in prime scoring areas for a lower percentage play. McDavid deferred way too many times in this game before he actually decided he was going to score.
