If Kings miss the playoffs, does Lombardi make a drastic change to this group? My guess is Dustin Brown is a goner. Williams, Stoll, Richards also gone. We can have this convo 2 weeks from now, or not have this convo.

This thread. ****. It's worse than usual.
First Bold: Wrong. Brown isn't going anywhere.
2nd bold: Hit the nail on the head. Would like to keep Justin, but I think he's gone. Stoll and Richards are for sure gone.
Like, I understand the angst, but it's weird to me that it explodes tonight vs. a team that has our number on our last game on the road instead of the other night.
Brown isn't going anywhere unless he has another two years, at least, of these pathetic 20 point campaigns.
And by then, his contract will put him in Mike Richards untouchable territory anyway.
He's already had two consecutive seasons of being a 20+ point range forward (not counting the lockout season).
He used to average 50+ points. It's amazing how bad he's gotten with the puck. Zero sense of attacking the net.

I now see why Kurrilino was such a celebrity around here. He's the Steve Ott of these boards.
I just don't understand how this is the loss that puts everyone over the edge. A regular season game to the only other team we KNOW embarrasses us and who has that extra gear we have.
Exactly. I ain't even mad. I think it's especially frustrating how the game actually played out, but expecting a win in that barn against that team given the lackluster history involved and the road trip from hell schedule is expecting too much. The only thing that really bugged me (aside from the generally lethargic play for 2 games in a row) was yet another game where the Kings have allowed their opponents to score back-to-back goals in a short time span. That's been an epidemic this season - usually after the Kings play balls out for 20 minutes but can't finish.
It's been top team after top team after top team. NYR, NYI, MIN, CHI... all on the road? ****ing difficult for any team trying to get 4 wins out of those 4 road games. In 6 nights! They're not robots.
It's times like this I pull up the PGT after Game 3 vs. San Jose last playoffs. The fan suggestions in that thread are hilarious in retrospect.
Not a bad road trip. Wish we could have picked up one more point in the last two games, but overall it wasn't as terrible as our road games this year. On to the next. 6 games left...
