I was 83 today too.Had my first good round of the year yesterday. 83 from the tips, couple of birdies, couple of doubles, the rest were bogeys and pars. Didn't lose a ball, which always makes things more doable.

Rough was still pretty damn long! Course was in good shape, the greens are remarkably firm for how much rain we have got. Was struggling to hold the greens with anything other than wedges from the fairway.Ya no driving range sucks, we have a practice area that you can hit wedges but that's it. The course is in pretty good shape but the rough is US Open long right now because of not being able to cut it from wetness. They will probably be cutting it today. Greens are in good shape and fairly quick. Have fun and let me know what you think.
76 is great, back 9 is definitely the harder of the 2 nines , ya the rough is really long, i'm hoping they cut it soon. And the food is usually quite good i agree.Rough was still pretty damn long! Played decently well, 76. Back 9 is definitely the tougher of the 2 nines. Shorter course but penalizing if you are not in the fairway, didn't hit a whole lot of drivers.
The food after was really good too!
They took longer to come out than I expected, that's for sure. But then I didn't predict the below average temperatures that went on for weeks prior to this week.Mosquitoes were absolutely horrible at Mars Sands today
Almost quit 12 holes in, did not enjoy at all
I find Harbour View has more kids on the course, but small sample size bias may be at play...You guys ever go to crescent wood or harbour view solo? I'm just starting out and wouldn't mind doing a quick short course but don't know if it's mostly families that go.
They are really getting bad, had to use bug spray for the first time in 3 years . Horrible long cold winter with a tonne of snow, followed by a spring with only rain and now the nice weather comes finally and you get eaten alive by gaters . I would imagine the country courses will be even worse .Mosquitoes were absolutely horrible at Mars Sands today

That is my plan too with my kids.Got my 13 year old son a junior membership at St B …….FOUR @Jets 31
Very cool yesterday I dropped him off and he met a buddy from school and they did 18 and loved it. It was only a year ago I introduced him to the sport and I can’t tell you the joy it gives me to see him golfing with buddies. Also took my 10 year old daughter to the range and she really liked it so I think I will do a few more range visits then golf a few times with her at Cresent Drive.
I have yet to golf my first round but I have been hitting golftec up a fair amount and got to the range once. I think the rounds will get going soon. Yesterday was a great day for golf Hope the folks on here got out.
Went to crescent yesterday, son had a great time. Loved driving the cart and hitting driver. Hard to teach the iron. It is pretty flat and grass is quite short he would just put from 20 yards out. Driving the cart is pointless but i knew he'd like itGot my 13 year old son a junior membership at St B …….FOUR @Jets 31

Picked up the iron set, driver, fairways and rescue. It’s pretty.FYI Golftown has 25% off their TaylorMade M4 Clubs this weekend!
Does a 6:45 am tee time count ? Still was sweating bullets by hole 2 . Mosquitos very bad in the rough and trees but you aren't supposed to be there right ?Who braved it today on the course in the afternoon?

Still trying to figure out why the grass is shorter in the middle. Like why bother cutting it that short anyway, I'm never there.Yes you aren’t suppose to be there, but historically I don’t tend to spend enough time on fairways.
Got the driver and Irons. Stoked to give them a try.Picked up the iron set, driver, fairways and rescue. It’s pretty.
Just played Crestview for the first time in 15+ years. Shot meh, but was happy to be playing. Playing Elmhurst on Tuesday.
