Haven't even got the clubs out of the basement. Why would I; golf in March is usually miserable...

Yea I have been going to Golftec but other than that its not happening for me yet for sure.

Well, first full round of the year over with. A dreadful 98. In my defense, the grass was still close to marshland.

Something is up with my driver though. My 6i flies around 200. My driver was regularly short of 250.:dunno:
Was that for 9 or 18 holes?:D

Quick question, has anyone here golfed both Elmhurst and PineRidge. If so then which do you prefer over all… comparisons would be appreciated!

Elmhurst is plush & open...

Set up for pushing rounds...

Doesn't challenge you as much with all the clubs in your bag...

Pine Ridge is a purist golfers course...

I prefer Pine Ridge...

Still no pins in at Bridges, I thought they were usually a place that opens relatively early. I know the creek runs thru that place but don't recall drainage issues or flooding there in the past. Could be wrong on that.

Was a member at Elmhurst for a couple of years and would have said PineRidge but played Elmhurst last year and they have made some very nice changes to that course, new bunkers . Both are very nice but if i had to pick i would which one to become a member at it would be PineRidge.

Thanks for the input. Now I do entertaining ad well. I went a couple of times got the Pineridge clubhouse for dinner after. Found their menu very basic and food wasn’t very good. It looks like the Elmhurst clubhouse is nicer, but how is the food quality?

They were supposed to open Friday but delayed to Sunday due to rains on Thursday. They are close but the water is quite high on the creek based on what I saw on Tuesday. I imagine there's extra water hazard out there atm.

It's just so much rain after so much snow. Pretty heavy clays in the area.

Elmhurst's food was always good when i was there and they have a very nice clubhouse. For me its more about the golf course though and that's why i would say PineRidge but Elmhurst is alot closer in comparison now.

Same as St.B lots of clay , we have been closed since Wednesday, finally open again today. This weather can go fly a kite , as Scheifele would say.

You guys ever go to crescent wood or harbour view solo? I'm just starting out and wouldn't mind doing a quick short course but don't know if it's mostly families that go.

@Jets 31

Playing St. B today, any tips from the local maestro?

I hear you don't have a driving range, so I'm going in cold lol.
Ya no driving range sucks, we have a practice area that you can hit wedges but that's it. The course is in pretty good shape but the rough is US Open long right now because of not being able to cut it from wetness. They will probably be cutting it today. Greens are in good shape and fairly quick. Have fun and let me know what you think. :thumbu:
