This is why the Panthers owner or whoever it was called down to the bench during a game and told the coaching staff to play certain players and put lines together a certain way. It won't last. Gallant will continue to find ways to remove young top picks from the top 6 as if it were his life's mission.

I know Hajek gets lots of hate on here, but other than a couple of mishandles here and there, he has been a very competent bottom pairing guy. The idea that he and Schneider and holding it down is a big bonus.

Brodzinski will get sent down and he’ll put in Carpenter. The 4th line will be ass and his solution will be to “even out the lines”. This will cause this kid line to re-emerge and things will go back to what he wants. I genuinely doubt these lines last. I hope I’m wrong. Goodrow should be the 4th line center that moves up during the end of the game.

That's why the analytics don't always tell the entire story. Goodrow was trying to give the game away. Some of the worst turnovers of the season. Over and over and over.

Can we get a 3 stars? Also can Vince Mercogliano be one of the stars?

I think we can go a long way if we can keep playing teams missing their best players.

That team can spot you 2 best players and still have more best players than most teams. AND remember we didn't have our bestest player of all ......Kravstov.

I think the negatives outweigh the benefits with Goodrow at 2C, and that's before you even account for the fact that it makes the fourth line worse and it puts Kravtsov in the skybox.

I think you are. Kravtsov was playing well in that spot, goodrow was playing well where he was, and we didnt need to have another 4th liner in the lineup in Brodz or Carpenter. What is it with this team and needing 5 4th liners on the team?

Personally I don’t think Goodrow is that strong defensively at even strength. He’s a ballsy player and good PKer who’s willing to do what it takes to win, which is much appreciated and needed, but he’s not going to be mistaken for a Selke candidate

I don't think Goodrow is particularly good defensively or on the walls, he's kinda just good enough at a little bit of everything. I still think he gets more value in a checking line role.

I would really like Krav back in as well, win notwithstanding

Last nights game was all you needed to see to vindicate what many around here have been so upset about.

Both Laf and Kakko scored and both played with a little more jump and confidence in their game.

The problem is Gallant will be keeping a close eye on them and the other lines and finding reasons to split it up as opposed to letting it ride for a while (or the rest of the season) and providing the kids with the proper growing environment.

It was funny to me how he HAD to get Kreider and Mika back together for at least one drop of the puck 4 on 4 (they already PK together too). God Forbid he sends out Laf or Kakko with Mika 4 on 4 and kept a pair of that line intact.

Am I nit-picking? Maybe.

Either way, enjoy it while it lasts folks.

Gallant still pisses me off. After we were up 5-1 and had basically a full 2 min left on PP he went right back with PP1. Why? There was 6 min left in the game. Put PP2 out for at least the first 1:30 if not the full 2.

We need PP2 to get some footing. And the kids can use the time.

That was a great pass by Goody. Didnt think he had enough skill to do that. But i still think Kravy needs to play on that spot.

Overall happy. But coach still needs to go.

He removed laff lat in the third for goodrow for defensive purposes… we are up by 4! Let him play and work on his defense. Or maybe score a goal.
