The Rangers won an NHL game with Laf and Kakko on the first line.

Lafy was still 6th in forward icetime with only 15:21. Personally i’d try to give him 18 minutes. More PP time.

We looked better with the pieces in the right place and used the ice well.

Hardly any patented Panarin curls-and-giveaways today. He looked more like a playmaking C finding ice in the middle which was refreshing.

Kreider was fine on the third line and Mika still played well.

The kids were good higher up in the lineup who knew. Just give them more pp time now.

This is the first game in weeks where I didn't want to claw my own eyes out after the game, regardless of the result. That third period was the team we were last season. Let's hope they build on this.

Considering we got embarrassed by the Jackets (at home), lost to a team that will never win a regulation game in Anaheim and a team that is visibly tanking in Chicago (at home) we can win or lose against anyone

No offense but this is a douchy comment. Team played hard/well and have been losing a lot lately, but you had to look at the negative of a 5-1 road win.

My vote for the #1 star was whoever yelled at the main camera guy who forgot to adjust the white balance on the camera to fix that at the first stoppage. Watching a game with the wrong white balance hurts!
On a funny note, when I went to see a game at T-Mobile arena back when it opened, I had to adjust my camera's white balance so the ice would look white on my photos. I forgot to adjust it back to sunlight. The next day I walked around the arena and surrounding area taking photos and they all came out with a blueish cast. I learned my lesson about white balance that day.
