GDT: Gold Medal Game - May 26 - Canada vs Finland

How good is Liiga? They just knocked off 3 teams that would all be the best (or one of the best) team in the NHL over an 82 game season.

Yes because Finland went from their A squad to B squad, while Canada went from their A squad to C squad. Most of these players wouldn't make Canada's 2nd Olympic team, and only maybe one or two of them would have been on Canada's olympic team (Stone and Murray likely as a backup/3rd string).

Anyways I was more just responding to that poster and not taking anything away from the Finns so I'd rather not comment on it anymore. Finns played a great game and deserved the gold after knocking off Russia and Canada. Congrats to them on a well deserved gold medal.

I'm all for you guys enjoying your win but it's revisionist history to pretend like that Soviet team wasn't the most dominant international squad in hockey history. This Canada team wasn't even the best collective squad of Canadians actively playing today. And Matt Murray is certainly not even in the same atmosphere as Tretiak was.

People can call this team what they want to me this is our AAAAAAAAA TEAM so all other countries who says this is our B team just because we say it's our C team gtfo.

Grolsch is really the worst beer i ever drank.
I had one whole case over one weekend whil me and my brother where playing anno 1404 the whole weekend.
But even worse was their christmas beer.

Like someone killed a cat extracted the taste, sweetened it up and filled it into a bottle.

Most of the time i buy beer in germany when i am home and bring it to the netherlands where i study.

Finland played against Russia, Sweden, Canada and USA. The most difficult way to advance but they did it and won the gold. Lankinen is a god. Anttila is a god. Lehtonen is a god. Jalonen is a god. THIS TEAM, THEY ARE MY GODS! Such SISU! Mikkola showed it in this game. I´m sure this will benefit Lankinens career, stronger confidence, rised stocks and he´s still young. Wow! Lehtonen should easily get a try out with some team in the NHL! What a player he has been in this tournament! IHANAA LEIJONAT IHANAA!

Hats of for team Canada, we win with the bushockey.. Next two weeks Finland is nuts and we are building statues and postcard of any player cause we win this tournament what includes 2x 2019 Skoda Suberb, Finland B team, Russia A team, Sweden A team, USA C team and Canada D team. Hopefully NHL players are allowed to play in next olympics and we can see all the best players.

I think this win should motivate all the smaller hockey countries. Anything is possible, if you work hard.
