Gotta say Putin has rock star swagger. Any time he pops up in some even't, there is dis strange atmosphere, like he was Emperror of rome in roman times for roman people. Unlike any other president, barring perhaps USA president.

Uhm, pretty certain his english is absolute garbage. He needed translator with him when he talked with the F1 guys couple weeks ago, in russian.
he would have spoken in German with Rosberg if he just wanted to talk normally. it's more a speak russian thing than anything else

Can't believe my boys pulled it out. Congrats to the Finns! it could have easily gone the other way.

Nice to pull this one out. probably a good lesson for me to not be so doom and gloom all the time.

I was in Toronto for the 2004 World Cup Final between Canada and Finland. It was an exciting game which Canada edged out. Hoping our two nations can meet again in the 2016 Finals. Finland is a great hockey nation with great fans. Much respect.

Much respect to your young team aswell. You really showed us our weaknesses and used them against us Very effectively. I'm usually quite angry after L but tonight our applauded Canada after the game. They we're awesome and did it so effectively and w-o-w. Still we have lot of positive things to enjoy after this tournament. Hope we'll see again in the WC aswell. I've allways enjoyed our rivalry. It's healthy and we can both appreciate one n others effort and team's

I don't think watching a goalie vs a team is exciting hockey but maybe you like one-sided snooze fests that have a scoreboard that looks close.

Maybe you don't understand that disparity is part of international sports tournaments. But perhaps you will enjoy seeing McDavid play against his country.

Coach Jalonen wanted Finland to play trap and that was part of the reason why we got this far and part of the reason why Finland lost tonight. There were no fore checking in the third period and Canada had time to make d-to-d passes etc. Also it was funny that sometimes Finland tried to enter the zone by dumping but other forwards did not go in full force to offensive zone because they thought about defense first all the time even when they were in offensive zone.

That might be the best gold medal celebration I've ever seen! Hope the boys go party it up in Moscow after.

Putin, everyone singing the anthem and the gold flakes all epic as ****!

It's not like Finland was that bad, more about Canada being a lot better. 10 finals and 2 gold hurts though.

Loved that winning meant a lot to Canadians.

This could be a VERY important and useful lesson for Laine aswell. He wasnt bad tonight (though not good either) He needs to get these dissapointments too to get better each and everyday.... Damn... I sound like Babcock

i actually gasped when putin came out. that was unexpected, surreal, and a little unsettling/menacing. i guess, unlike sochi, since the russian team medaled here giving a gracious speech was easier.

kudos to finland for a fantastic tournament. you guys have some really impressive youths who are going to do really well in the nhl.

I'm happy that the young guys played so well in this tournament. Aho was probably the best Finn aside from Koskinen in this game. Tried to make things happen all game long. Carolina is very lucky to have him. That kid's a winner.

It's like the German commentators said: The Canadians outplayed the Finns at their own game. And the Finns looked gassed.
