Hoping that the game will be fairly played, without any ugly stuff like the one from Perry the last time. May the best team win ! - which of course I hope will be Finland.

Who determines what line is the "top" line and what line is the "fourth" line? Seems the Scheifele, Stone, O'Reilly line leads Canada in scoring.

Congratulation for the silver medal Canada!

Intresting to see if canadiens try to chirp on Laine again. Didnt work last time.

I heard a lot of times, that if two pretty even teams meet 2nd time in the same tournament, team who lost the 1st match, will most likely win.

;)

This is true and this is why Canada is the favorite and Finland gladly takes the underdog position.

Not going to make any predictions about the end result, but all I know is that the excitement will remain till 3rd period. The first 2 periods won't decide anything even if one of the teams has a 2-0 lead, both of these teams will fight back and probably tie the game in that case.

To me this is a win - win game. The 2 best teams playing in the tournament. Both guaranteed atleast a sliver.

Let it be a good and fair game. May the best team win gold.

good luck to both teams. i only wish for exciting hockey and that no one gets hurt. really admire the Finns and the way they play, and would be surprised if Canada wins.

Finland - 4, Canada - 3. Koskinen 1st star (he's an Isles prospect ;) ).

damn i love hockey when it's fast and clean! :)

I think that it's funny that Finland still has no coaches in NHL while coaches like Tortorella have jobs, while Finnish coaches have proven time after time that they are able to consistently able to give their team the coaching advantage against much stronger player material.

We'll put our faith in Lauri Marjamäki to become the first one, I guess.

Well.. NHL as a league is so protective for their own (American/Canadian) coaches.. it´s really hard to prove one so qualified outside NHL to be a coach in NHL. Back in a days when first finn (Matti Hagman, Boston -76 to -77Also Quebec and Edmonton ´till -82) came into NHL it was similar situation for a players. Outsiders were not welcome or wanted inside at first, but when proven as a player, things are changed.. and nowdays there is allmost half of all from somewhere else than North America continent. Hope that is a case in future for coaches too.

I don't know how to feel about the upcoming game. Obviously I love to watch our national team and cheer for them. But the Finnish pessimist in me thinks that we are going to lose this one.

Man.. Talk about 50/50 game. Im usually pretty good at predicting but i don't have much of a clue who takes this one.

I mean, it's very similar to the first time these two teams played but what kind of adjustments CAN has made is another question.

I could see anything from us winning after a tight game, OT triller or Canada outscoring us kind of like they did against US.

Anyway the one safe assumption is that we won't get blown out, and that's something i've said before playing against them.

This is the first time teams have played back to back games in the tournament. I have always disliked the GMG's format for this reason. Why no day off before the biggest game in the tournament? It adds a big element of unpredictability to the outcome. A back to back game for the gold medal is ridiculous in my view. The true relative merit of the teams is obscured by elements such as fatigue, who had the best sleep etc. Back to back does favour the young legs of Finland, however.

I'll always believe in a Canadian team playing for their country. Go get the Gold and bring it back home boys. Do or die now.

I'll believe in Talbot letting in a couple of cheap goals and causing his team to lose.

Congratulation for the silver medal Canada!

Intresting to see if canadiens try to chirp on Laine again. Didnt work last time.

The Montreal Canadiens showing up to chirp Laine would be very odd.

Finland fans are getting a little too yappy after a round robin win.

If Canada brings its A-game, the Finns have to play a game for the ages. Finland has been the more impressive of the two thus far, but Canada just has so much scoring potential that I find it very hard to think that the Finns are the favorites to win this game.

As always, let it be a good game so that there won't be anything to whine about afterwards.

This. Hopefully reffing will be ok...that is missed calls etc. go both ways at least

I think we will see a much more determined Canuck squad. Taking a beating earlier usually has that effect on any team.

Hard but clean hits and nice plays is what I want to see, also I hope for Laine, Aho, McDavid and Domi to really bring it!

Let the better team win!
