Canada hasn't looked good since opening day and yet they are in the gold medal game?
when you don't even send your B team and you still have a chance to win the Gold , it would be boring if we sent our real team

Aren't lot of your A team guys tied in the Stanley Cup playoffs just like it's with the rest of us? We're goddamn Finland and we got a NHL backup and a KHL guy for goalies here. And a Stars defender they didn't have use for in the playoffs. Just send the best you can, let's test that depth a bit.
I just hope for a good tight game with alot of speed. And no dirty play like the one in group stage.

Europeans are soft. Dreger is tough. Should Canada lose it's because: Not the right players, not interested in winning, Ryder Halak and 2nd. That's about it.

As expert circles predicted before tournament, tonight is very good chance that our Finnish Lions triplicate the golden success of junior Finnish Lions and young Finnish Lions. Having victoried 4-0 in beginning series the favourite position is deserved. Hopefully we get experienced defense leader Lasse Kukkonen back for the game.

If Canada brings its A-game, the Finns have to play a game for the ages. Finland has been the more impressive of the two thus far, but Canada just has so much scoring potential that I find it very hard to think that the Finns are the favorites to win this game.
As always, let it be a good game so that there won't be anything to whine about afterwards.

I've watched most games in the tournament involving these 2 teams. Watched Canada games for obvious reasons and Finland games to see Laine who I've never seen play. IMO, so far the Finnish team looks like they are taking this much more seriously. Looks more like a European vacation for many Canadian players. If that continues into gold medal game I think Fins easily win. I believe we'll see a much more determined team Canada though. I'll say 4-2 Canada win.
Even if they completely mail it in due to not wanting the gold, they likely still win as team Finlands defense is a joke in this tournament and it will be a cakewalk for guys like Perry and McDavid to just stickhandle the puck over the goal line. And if Koskinen starts the game, Finland is doomed.

Canada has been atrocious during the second period. Finland has been the best team in the tournament during the second period. Just saying.
Yesterday i predicted Finland shutting down the so calle Micky Mouse line and winning 3-1. Today Finland will demolish Canada once again 4-1 
Canada doesn't play as systematically as Finland and that will be deciding factor tonight. Finland will silence Canada's attack once again

Team Canada has few hotheads whom may be a key to penalties and pushing gold to Finland.. needles to say I have vivid picture *******trick by C. Perry on 2. round to Patrik Laine in last game.
What comes to the game it self, it will be tight.. like final allways shoud be. Canadians have best skill with skates alltogether in this tournament, but will it be enough? Last time it was not. Finns on the other hand, have few star-like players who will not be ignored.. and that takes manpower to keep ´em away from the sectors.. and that gives room to others, as good as those stars...
What ever happens, who will win.. I hope this game will settled by playing it, not by fights or ******* tricks, intentional attemps to harm or injure anyone. Fair play is a key..

Have you actually watched Koskinen play? Jesus all these guys coming in bashing him. Im willing to bet 1grand, that he is selected the best goalie in the tourney

Well, you will if Canada don't win with huge margin. You saw it in a Canada-Usa thread after the game just like I predicted during the game.
I think that it's funny that Finland still has no coaches in NHL while coaches like Tortorella have jobs, while Finnish coaches have proven time after time that they are able to consistently able to give their team the coaching advantage against much stronger player material.
We'll put our faith in Lauri Marjamäki to become the first one, I guess.

Has Marjamaki any connections to NHL organisations outside the Blue Jackets? Maybe Ville Nieminen could be the first one (or actually second one) because he has NHL background. Or Jussi Jokinen if it is true that he will become an excellent coach.
