IIHF should increase the size of rinks in order to increase scoring.

These 1-0 games are soooo boring.

I like it how some are going against him when our game has been embarassing, he's easily the youngest player in the tourney and this is gold game.

Our issues starts from our defense, our best D-player wouldn't make this team Canada, so 1-0 feels like a miracle.

Reilly and Tanev were the only Defensive Tandem that weren't a minus in the Blowout last game against finland.

Just so calm with the puck.

Yes, im sure the hit wasnt meant to hit to glove but only the puck, but since it did hit the glove its a penalty no? Im askin serious is there a rule that if he sets the stick on motion while puck is free and once hits puck is no longer free its ok? Even though it hits/hurts(kills the goalie and his family);)

Well, in all honesty, if they "own us", shouldn't they lead like 4-0 or something? Pretty much a similar game as last time, except we have not been so good in the attacks and Canada plays more cautiously and better defensively than last time. I did not expect that we would control the game - did you?

Eh, it's one game. This tournament is pretty short too.

Anyone who makes concrete statements from such a short sample size is bonkers. Laine is gonna be a stud, and I hate that the Jets will get him.

The young guys tend to get beat on in this tourney a bit. It's their first taste of a team full of world class men. It's a learning curve. McD has been limited too.

With Laine you can see the immense skill there. No one expects him to be fully developed at 18.
 
Watched Ryan Ellis' career in Windsor. Knew he'd be a good one with some time, and this tournament has really showed off how far he's come. Just a solid PMD.
 
I'm a little nervous. We have been dominant but only up 1-0. And they have Mario Lemieux and Alex Ovechkin on their team. It might be just a matter of time.
 
Laine defensive zone coverage... would make people in OTP proud...

Kid has 229339 turnovers in him and no neutral-zone ability....

Jets should draft the better finn.

Yep. Important to remember the kid just turned 18 and is playing the wrong wing on top of that. That doesn't fully excuse him, but I mean really if we're expecting him to dominate today our expectations are too high. That being said we know he can be better.

Finland as a whole is getting no zone time. Only 1-0 though so it's anyone's game. Should be an interesting 3rd
 
Normal final game for Finland. I dont know why, but almost every final 95 & 11 excluded have been like this. Finnish player look tired, dont play same game that brought them there etc...

Also its perfectly obvious tjat Barkov is hurt. So why didnt Jalonen try someone else in first line center in Denmark game? Rantanen?!?

Also it is obvious, that third line just is not enough against Canada. Rantanen to third line instead of Pyörälä and bench fourth line.

10th time in WC final and only 2 wins. 2 times in olympics final and 0 and 1 in world cup wit 0 wins. So its not looking good.

Second PP unit is also awful. Few lucky goals and Jalonen keeps playing them. Koskiranta ffs....

My understanding is he didn't do well in his first very brief NHL stint...BUT he looks like an NHL starter to me...A Good BIG Goalie beats a Good Little Goalie most of the time...

Assuming they actually care... I could see that joke of a tournament being like a slightly more intense all star game.
 
How the score is still just one-nil I don't know. A massive game from the Canadians.
