Reilly and Tanev are sooooo good together.

When they are the on ice I'm not even nervous. Because they are great positionally.

Tanev stripped the puck from Laine like it was nothing twice in that power play, and Reilly is just so solid.

:handclap::handclap:

Keep fighting boys. Play the game the Canadian way with heart and soul.

Go Canada Go!!

Anyone who watches this game and thinks Laine should still go #1 is delusional. Clear that he can't keep up with the higher intensity and strength of competition. Easily handled by the canadian defenders, I've never seen a guy so big get rubbed out on the boards so easily.

Youre trying too hard.

The truth is Canada owns us...they are way better in everything. But its just one goal, everything is possible

Canada has been the better team but Finland has hung on and is still only behind by one.

You know that team can be explosive so it's going to be a scary 3rd period. Next goal wins IMO.

The under 23 NA team is going to be a threat for the World Cup. McDavid on the team alone makes them a team capable of winning.

Your post looks like Laine shouldn't even go in the first round. :P The hate is strong in you.

It's only one game, give the kid a break

I like when people were calling for Tanev to be the odd man out because of his Corsi rating, yeah his line doesn't have the puck much, but they're always up against the team's only good line and aren't letting much through.

Yup. He relies on others to set him up too much.

I find some people don't like the World Championships because it's, in a way, a losers tournament, but this is excellent hockey and a wonderful tourney.

Losers tournament? Why? Most of players who were in NHL playoffs are at home doing nothing, except for 4 teams. These players are right now competing for Gold Medals.

I want Tanev so much after watching him play here. I'd guess we would have to fork out a ransom to get him though. He would be the perfect defenseman for the Leafs to add.

Laine is super impressive, but he still has some things to work on. He's still a kid, he'll be a stud.

Yup, kid will be good, very good, hell of a shot - no shame in being the 2nd best player in a draft class where the best player available in Auston Matthews has not relinquished that 1st OA throne since 2014.

I think they can win.

They'll be motivated. They'll never get tired, like the old guys.

Agreed, they're solid. I like the game that Murray is playing so far too, guys def got a lot of skill and poise. :handclap:
