Late to the party on here, but YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:pickle:

Now that the final is done, anyone hearing about any trades of Team Canada players yet?

That's an interesting way of saying "almost single-handily lost Canada the game".

That's a very interesting misrepresentation of his contribution to a team win tonight. The guys in front of him realized they had to do a better job. As good teams do, they settled down after that torrid streak of Russia running all over them and letting Fucale's crease look like a parking lot.

both teams looked gassed in the 3rd, not sure why the semifinals and final must be on back to back nights, Canada is better team but Russia impressed me the most, no superstars, not even one, but very well coached hard working team, gave the Canadian all star team all they could handle, great game, I wish there was a series

Everyone made a big deal about Petan but i knew he wouldn't do anything this game. Skilled player but he was awful as the going got tough.

I crapped all over Gauthier all tournament but as the game got tight and we needed to rely on him he delivered.

Theodore was awesome can't wait for him to make the Ducks.

A non-Leaf fan said something positive about Gauthier, I think hell just froze over...and I pooped a little.

They were never even tied at any point in the tournament (apart from the obvious 0-0).

This team will be remembered for a long time.

The last team to win the tournament and never be down in any game was the Dream Team Canada in 05.

But they were tied 1-1 with Sweden(before winning 8-1). Wikipedia stopped showing the time of goals once I got back to 2003 so I don't know the last time someone went the entire tournament never losing, nor tied at anything other than 0's

I just...wow. This was my first WJC experience this year ever. This game was super. Exciting, scary, etc. All the games I went to were great too. Congrats Canada... earned it and The Reinhart Domi and Duke line was awesome. What a way to see top talent like that...

Right up until the middle of the second period the 2014 team would've been my pick for the best WJC team (emphasis added as it's probably not as good as the 2005 team on a player by player basis). Even now, I have to think about it. There was some crazy chemistry and cohesiveness for a short tournament team.

Credit to the coaching staff and the leaders on the team, I think.

I think every Canadian watching was having 'Nam style flashbacks to 2011 when the Russians made it 5-4.

So glad that's over.

Connor McDavid, Reinhart... along with Tavares, Crosby, Stamkos, Seguin, and Hall. The future looks really good.

Flying V!
