Wow what a game, what a team. Loved Domi but i think Reinhart was our best forward. He just did everything. Such a complete player. Drought is over!! Go Canada Go!!!!!!

Im puzzled as to why Yudin would skate by the Canadian bench like that....especially when still losing. That was beyond dumb.

No doubt he was pumped up, probably mad about the crowd going nuts after the first two goals, and he is a kid.

But he needs to learn just how stupid that was, at any point in the game.

We have had dumbasses on our teams, too.

Russia played a great game overall. If not for that bad start they may have taken this. Canada started celebrating the win early.

Canada's starts in North America for big games looks unsustainable, takes a lot out of the players. No one can really match that high level of play.

I think that is why most Russian posters were saying if Russia can hold off Canada's big start then they have a chance.

Once again Congratulations to Canada, a great team in what is really the only true Hockey nation in the World. Some of the fans in the crowd made me cringe but it was good to see them enjoying it and also having to bite their nails for the remaining 20 minutes

Well done.

lol max domi getting caught using his phone (was it his phone) and doing a pelvic thrust on camera

And sorry but gotta give some Frederik Gauthier love. He wasnt that great or anything, and he lost too many faceoffs, but he was relied on late in the game as much as Reinhart and Lazar and he didnt crumble.

He showed up in the third that's for sure. They all did.

I think that is what it was, it was stupid no doubt, but the Americans and Canadians and Swedes know how to annoy the Russians on the ice, should have saved the taunt for when they won Bronze in Ufa in OT :shakehead:help:

I am absolutely devastated, I am proud of the effort we came back with though, it showed defied the stereotypes of Russian hockey, and this wasn't our best team, but they put so much effort in during the elimination rounds and I am proud of them for that.

Canada, congratulations, you completely deserved to win, to win the tournament without ever trailing is such an accomplishment which shows the magnitude of the team this year, top to bottom it was the correct team (including Gauthier) and as much as it pains me to admit it, the best team won.

As usual the Russia vs Canada game was special, and as always shows the best and worst in the teams, an entertaining game, an entertaining tournament, both teams did their country proud.

Congratulations Canada :)

Thanks for that. I wish I could say I don't know how you feel...but I do.

Two great hockey nations and we have both had great wins and devastating losses. This won't be the last for either :)

Think I agree, loved what Reinhart brought to team Canada. Buffalo has a really good player on their hands in a couple years, captain material for sure.

Jamie McLennan, who is usually a very fair goalie analyst, with some good words for Fucale in the 3rd. And tone down the criticisms for the 2nd. Mostly saying that the 2 on 1 is surely the one he should have stopped as he was there and it slid through him. But more victime of circumstances when it hit people from Hicketts to Gauthier for the other goals. Yet, I would add that those Hicketts and Gauthier's deflections were due to a bad rebound control, which he somewhat fixed in the 3rd.

All i know is Edmonton is gonna be very scary soon if management can get it's act together.

McDavid and Nurse are pretty damn good building blocks.
