If Canada wins they would take sole first place in number of gold medals

I can't help but kind of want it for the Finnish fans though, winning a gold while hosting is a dream, I don't think anyone would be going into work tomorrow :D

Question for the Finns, how much media coverage of this game has their been and what is the viewership numbers expected to look like?

I’m curious how it’s viewed when you guys play Canada. We’re turning into the biggest show on international hockey when our countries meet in my view.

Great pace and intensity so far, both teams real sharp. Not even a penalty call yet because both teams are razor sharp and so on point and focused.

This game could turn into a classic.

After having calmed down a bit that Sweden has played like utter shit under Garpenlöv and accepted that we've played like shit after some gold medals - but will come back again - I think it's fitting it's Finland and Canada in the finals. Beware of the sandbaggers, Finland.

Go win this Finland, please. Then again, you get TWO world championships at home ice in a row. That's kind of scummy as well. Well, I lean towards Finland but you're both bastards in your own way. Still, go Finland, screw Canada.
I love this comment. I don't know exactly why but I love it.

Lol.

It is very common for Jalonen's teams to look bad in the first with intense pressure, it is the antidote for his tactics but it is also tiring for the pressuring team.

Very good pace and physicality. It’s been clean but physical hockey, this a Stanley Cup playoff game type intensity.

I’m enjoying this game so far. Not a lot of mistakes out there and ice is tough.

Hockey is meant to be physical and intense when the Championship is on the line. Both teams have came to play.

Finns looked bit shaky under the pressure at the start, but started playing better after the first 5 minutes.

Whew!! great first period, if you like hockey, no matter who you are cheering for.............you enjoy that kind of play.

Going to miss a slight part of the start of the second due to a phone meeting that couldn't happen other then at this time, hopefully i come back to good news, or at least not bad news.

Canada played that period really well. Smothered the Fins in both zones and played prevent defense in an organized manner when needed.

Finns are the best trap team in the tournament. They prey on mistakes. Canada will have to be careful. Players like Kent Johnson needs to play smart hockey and not take unnecessary risks.

This game will start to tilt more and more in Canadas favour if Finland doesn’t find a better answer for their zone exits.
