Both teams very much playing their game, Canada with a hard forecheck and guys supporting each other all over the ice on the puck, Finland digging in and staying composed and not really giving up much despite the pressure, waiting for the correct time to counter.

This should be a real good game.

I think that this has been a promising start from our brave Finnish Lions, strong defensive play.

This should be a real good game.

As usual Finns do a phenomenal job clogging the middle of the ice in their own zone. They just don’t give up a lot through the middle of the ice in their zone.

Seeing that early. Canada has been coming hard on the forecheck, I’ve liked the pressure the Comtois-Lowry line has had. Hasn’t lead to a lot of shots or scoring chances, but they’ve had good pressure.

To be fair, Vinnerborg was terrible for everyone. Good thing he never as far as I can remember reffed a tre kronor game (?).

They are so good systematically in the way they play at every level.

The difference now in the last 5-8 years is they also have elite skill throughout their lineups at all positions.

It’s not just a scheme for why they are successful. With Russia gone from the international community, the Finns are kind of becoming our biggest rival in international hockey.

They certainly love the sport the same way we do.

After having calmed down a bit that Sweden has played like utter shit under Garpenlöv and accepted that we've played like shit after some gold medals - but will come back again - I think it's fitting it's Finland and Canada in the finals. Beware of the sandbaggers, Finland.

Go win this Finland, please. Then again, you get TWO world championships at home ice in a row. That's kind of scummy as well. Well, I lean towards Finland but you're both bastards in your own way. Still, go Finland, screw Canada.
