The funny thing about Finland playing in the final is the number of people who go through the effort of announcing how they are not interested.

Namely, the success of the Finnish hockey-team pisses off endlessly those who think football should be the number 1 sport here too.

As I understand there's none of this kind of ridiculous envy between sports in Sweden or in the Czech Republic.

That's just people with alot of pride who have football as their #1 sport, clinging on to that debacle of a corrupt organization that hasn't tried to improve the sport in 20 years. I can't stand football as a European. It's diving, corrupt garbage as a whole. Symbol politics at its finest.

Sweden has the same small crowd with football fans having hockey as their #2 sport. I can't speak for Czech fans but I think they have the same problem as well. The only thing they want to say is how football is better even though it's so sad to watch. A bad football game is terrible. A bad hockey game still has something going.

Goddammit, uphill Finland! 0-1!
