Björninen was not "knocked down". He was tripped. Refs usually look at the who would benefit the most from breaking the rules and it is usually the team which breaks them first. Björninen's tripping on Chabot didn't even matter because Chabot already had penalty coming. Also like I said. Chabot would never have been tripped if he didn't trip Björninen first.
Oh my God.

Are you suggesting the rulebook says "trips are allowed if you were just tripped"?

No he wouldn’t have gotten a breakaway. He got tripped by Björninen right after.
*facepalm* Chabot would be gotten a breakaway if he didn't get a penalty. Plus he would have never been trippied he didn't break the rules first. So him getting tripped is quite irrelevant.

Canada B doesn't beat Finland A before they have played. Brazil wins Germany every time aswell in soccer, because they have better players. Also England beats Netherlands every time with their B team. You understand why that argument is pointless?

This is professional sports and team game. It's not something you play in your mind or on a paper. Obviously Canada is the best country in hockey, but they could lose to any country in major tournament too.

I should have said, "I think Canada B beats Finland A", thought it was implied, they haven't played, so obviously it is in my mind.

Big picture, there must be something behind this. When 5.5 million population can consistently produce enough good players to pull up this kind stuff (no, its not about quality of referees, you saw the game, and the tournament) in hockey.

It's not about genius coach, it's not about front office as a whole par excellance, its not about rosters of players (ever changing), its not about fanatic audiences, over the top medias.

Its how to play as a team. And this is something that Finland can offer to the world also on a wider walks of life.

Wow Congratulations to Finland!!!!
I think every Finn agrees with me saying that Jukka Jalonen is the best coach they ever had so far. Let's check what he achieved with the NT:

1919 WHC: Gold
1921 WHC: Silver
1922 Olympics AND WHC: Gold

And I'm not sure but was J. Jalonen not coach 2011 when they won Gold too wasn't he?
Jalonen has now 4 golds:

Three times WHC:
2011
2019
2022

One time Olympics
2022.

Also Olympic bronze medals, some silvers on WHC.

That’s what they showed.

The view from above.

I know there’s some desperation for the 5 on 3 call that put Finland back in the game but the call was fine.
If they showed that view you can clearly see that the goal is not paralell to the goal line

Canada is obviously the world's strongest hockey nation, but this doesn't mean we should just not play any tournaments and award Canada every trophy. Even in a best-on-best tournament Canada could get beaten. Well done to Finland for winning today, Canada could choose better players if they wished, Finland have no control over that - they can only compete against what is put in front of them.

I'm Canadian and no I'm not blaming the refs, losers blame the refs after a loss, Finland played a great game they deserve the win, Canada played great too and they could of won but Finland is a great hockey nation. Bad penalties are part of the game, it happens in every damn game, just watch the NHL playoffs!

No you're the blind here
You're somehow equally as blind as the refs are. Its a meaningless tournament, all that really matters is best on best but its unfortunate for the players and their families when the reffing is this bad. Diving to get calls too.... Its a tough look. Anyway im sure its a way bigger deal in Finland than it is in Canada so enjoy.
