Softy of the night is this Jesper Bratt goal on Pyotr Kochetkov
Sometimes if there's a really funny looking goal that the goalie should have had, I'll go with that as the softy of the night over one that the goalie gives away, but there wasn't a real clear cut softy of the night that I could have picked over that one in yesterday's games.Thats fair. Goalie misplays or turnovers that result in goals should always get priority.
Softy of the night is this Jack Eichel goal on Daniil Tarasov
Feel free to call me out for saying that Tarasov couldn’t be worse than Korpisalo. I’m embarrassed for that. This guy sucks. One of the worst goalies I think I’ve seen this year, besides maybe Sogaard and AHL Spencer Martin.
Another somewhat anomalous night. Relatively low stoppable goal percentage combined with low save percentage. I guess that means defenses are starting to play tighter as they gear up for playoffs?Goals against review for the March 21st, 2023 games

On balance I think that's a pretty stable number with the stoppable goals. 28.5 to 29 given the changes in save percentage is surprising to me on some level. I am curious if teams look at the goalies the way you do. It's unique and really hones in on the things that make goalies difference makers.Could be, but may just be an anomaly night.
Believe it or not, .899% isn’t terrible by this year’s standards. It’s bad, but it’s not like some of those .880% nights there have been several times this season.
League average for this year currently is .904%, which is lower than last year’s .907% and the lowest since 05-06 when it was .901% the first year back from the lockout.
But it’s a full 1.1% lower than it was when it was .915% for two consecutive seasons just not too long ago in 14-15 and 15-16.
The percentage of goals I’ve counted stoppable this year is slightly up from last year. It’s sitting at about 29% right now. It was a little under 28.5% last year.
