For the first time this year I’m gonna do a double softy of the night. Why? Because it’s almost the same exact goal and it’s hard to figure out a tiebreaker between these two. It’s a dead heat.

First one is Miro Heiskanen on Anton Forsberg



Second one is Pierre-Luc Dubois on Thomas Greiss



I try not to give these dead angle goals softy of the night so much, as they’re really common around the league, but I haven’t seen as many this year as there were last year. The Heiskanen shot on Forsberg was particularly a muffin.

2 softies? pooch is highly unimpressed.... wont even look you in the face..... pick one or the other



EDIT: the STL goal againt is worse.....shoulder already off the post and what the f***


also softie pooch is never sad as there will always be some snot nosed kid that drops their cone that they can lap up off the asphalt ..... an ice cream assassin

yeah. VV laid an egg last night. First time in awhile he did so.

And Schmid did his best coming in for him but it is what it is.

I wonder if VV goes right back out there against the Rags or will Akira get the nod?

It’s a back to back, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Akira gets MSG and Vitek gets Mr. Tough Building who just refuses to lose to us. Or it could be Vice versa.

Am I allowed to give a goalie a stoppable goal if I feel he’s staying down trying to sell or draw a call and gets scored on during the process?

Maybe he still wouldn’t have saved it, but from my vantage point he just decided not to get up and was fishing for a call.

Softy of the night is this Jaret Anderson-Dolan goal on Elvis Merzlikins



Another good one for the king of softies. Moved out of the way of the shot and it probably hits him if he doesn’t. He knows it too. That’s why he banged his stick.

Softy of the night is this Nico Hischier goal on Igor Shesterkin



Don’t care if it was deflected, this is still one where you can expect it to hit the goalie.

I wouldn’t be so quick to give it a softy of the night, but there were only 19 goals and the only other one I marked stoppable was the Chytil OT winner and I really can’t give that the softy of the night over this.

I can’t remember it right now, but I’ll look at it in a little.

All I recall right now was that it was on the PK, which was almost as bad and worthless as the PP was last night.
