The Oilers outshot the Panthers aaaaaaand that's about it. To a degree, you can say they outplayed them.
However:
The Oilers powerplay, was shutout.
Panthers outhit the Oilers 57-32
Panthers blocked shots to the Oilers 21-15
Panthers led in takeaways 11-4
Panthers led as well in faceoffs 34-23

The Panthers are 6-2 on the road.
The officiating was borderline ok.
For the NHL...borderline is an achievement.
(Missed two Panthers slashing McDavid on the hands on an end to end rush but....not surprising)

The Panthers have the ability to be outplayed but still come on top.
Noted, Cousins and Lomberg were healthy scratches last night. They will be seeing some playing time (my guess game 3) and when they do all they do is hit, hit, hit and they do not care who they hit either.

A weak backcheck by Hyman and a spectator play by Nurse were noticeable but only winning about 30% on the dot was not a good look either.

Hopefully the Oilers can solve Bob. He flops too early on breakaways when being deaked, his five hole can be exposed and his glovehand(high) is a questionable.

Go Oil!
Dallas was better on the road than FLA and lost 2/3 in EDM. Hits are irrelevant, you're going to get more of them chasing the game. I'm not convinced in the noise about them wearing us down as it goes longer, unless they find a way to have the puck more. Chasing the game for 50 minutes is a good way to wear yourself down.

I recall the Oilers being quite bad in the dot early against Dallas as well, same withe the PP, think it's something our players adjust into as the series goes on.

Yep. Was just going to include the Oilers had solved the best road team in the league. The Oilers being a solid home team seems to override what road teams manage.

Spittin' Chiclets are the only people she's spoken to online. She appears around the midway point in today's episode (Episode 505 titled "Game 1 Recap").

She works in the oil fields.

Features the type of crass questions you would expect from that pod like "why'd you whip out your tits?"

And of course, you also get an answer to "are they real".

She has gone into hiding and has apparently deleted her social media accounts. She hasn't followed up with any of the offers that were made to her by adult sites but has read about them. Says she's not interested.

Confirms that she doesn't know the person who took the video, who was just filming the crowd at that moment and she happened to be in the viewing angle. When she saw that the clip was posted on Twitter, she contacted them to have it deleted and they did but of course, nothing ever gets deleted once it's posted online.

She seemed to warm up to the interview as it went on. She started it wearing huge sunglasses but eventually took them off and seemed more relaxed by the end of it.

They asked her if she was at the game or a watch party, and she said it was a game. But it happened in game 5 in Dallas. Not adding up.

You've just described a lot of stats that mean Florida had the puck a lot less.

I didn’t see Florida’s first goal so I can’t really comment on Skinners play, but man, that dude struggles with making the first save of the game.
He is what he is. I don't think our goalies have bailed us out once this playoffs like a silovs or Bob. Skinner was great in that 1-0 la game. Solid last Dallas game

But try to think of him having to make multiple Bob saves in one game this playoffs.

Two brain farts by dmen and bad back checking as well. Inexcusable for a Stanley cup finals game

Only positive I took is that Edmonton can outplay them

Bob is the x factor and Skinner. Goalies can steal games. I'll panic if we lose the next one

No idea. But presumably none of the reasons are ones we would like as fans.

f*** the capitals.
I don’t understand what they’d even want it for. They need the extra Internet ad revenue? Oh well whatever.

Nucks cheapshotted us a lot in that series. We don't have an enforcer if thats what you're wondering. it didn't deter the Oil, and we play physical hockey, hitting, puck battle as well as anybody and dominated last night, but we don't have fighters. Kane is injured. Nurse doesn't fight anymore, Desharnais is useless and not even in lineup. Kane does at least nail opponents through the boards if they take liberties.

We've run Tkachuks show so many times he doesn't even matter. The Oilers are used to destroying him from his Calgary times and predictably Tkachuk was a big nothing last night.

Kulikov? Is he a thug now? Was not that when we had him.

The issue in game one wasn't physicality at all. Did you see Drai lay Bennett out with a reverse hit? Bennett frustrated came back with a penalty. Oilers should've punished that. All of McD, Drai, Hyman, Bouchard, Ekholm are tough as rocks.

This isnt Rangers Florida are playing. Our core guys are strong and can take anything.
Ratking doesn't scare me either. we own him and he was a total non factor last night.

We played a really good game and I wouldn’t change the forwards to much but I’d give Draisaitl some help on the second line since Barkov’s line is focusing on Mcdavid.

Let Ceci sit for a game. We pretty much only made 2 mistakes all game and both ended up in the net while Florida made around 10 but Bob kept the puck out of the net. I know we can’t play every game like last night game but if we can play close to that we’ll wear down Bob and the Panthers.

I don’t understand what they’d even want it for. They need the extra Internet ad revenue? Oh well whatever.

They're going to shut it down to the public and use the company's talent and it's code base / API to try and gain a competitive advantage.

Realistically most NHL teams likely have their own internal systems that are similar already developed so it's likely not a huge advantage, but that's likely the thought.

Per the article - the website is slated to go dark on July 5th.
