Pettersson soon to be week to week Indefinitely
I'm pretty well known to be incredibly lacking as a person, just in general. Where it tends to get really souped-up in a shit direction is my notorious dearth of any ability to handle adversity, real and present, or other. So take it with a gigantic pile of the (less cool) white stuff when I wonder if ever we will be lucky enough to go two or three weeks in a row over the next eight years without wondering what's so wrong with our Belle?

Kind of depressing to admit it, but no matter how the Pacific Division race unfolds, the Oilers are still probably the best team in the Division.

Appears that the Canucks were playing over their heads prior to the all-star break.....and the stars are now re-aligning.
Completely disagree here..I've watched practically every game this season, and the Canucks (for the most part) have been full value for their wins...Its not been a case of the goaltenders having to stand on their heads to win it..They've had full team efforts.

The issue is now, things have ramped up and the Nucks have not kept up.

Least not against the big boys.

Sure they keep it close but that’s it.

One mistake and it costs you.

That and the toll of the season is starting to show. Injuries piling up.

Coupled with an abysmal PP, it’s not trending in the right direction towards the playoffs.

Before it was “wait till they get home”. Well that hasn’t done anything.

Been a nice story for most of the season.

But the ending looks like it may be disappointing given how it started.

I've seen this movie before, where playoff bound Canuck teams have casually waltzed to the finish line..and you would swear that they're going to get their lunches handed to them in the first round.

Only to see that they literally become impressive and organized at the first puck drop in game #1.

So I'm not that worried about it honestly

I look at the other Western Conference teams starting to ramp it up and the Canucks are tripping over themselves.

You guys crack me up. We are going to kick the Oilers ass in round 2 of the playoffs!

I’m all for positivity - especially with how the games have gone. I strongly believe you are right. I think the matchup is favourable, so we could very well talking games in late May…but we have to get out of round 1 which is why I’m “avoid Vegas at all costs”. Pass the first round, there is I believe a clearer path to the Finals, where before the season I would have called you nuts but this is a legit reality we could have if we get the correct bounces.

Maybe he loses the lead for good to Makar and the Canucks lose their lead to the Oilers and Captain Quintin is handed a live mic just in time to follow in the footsteps of former leader Markus Naslund.

Which of those Canucks teams have anything to do with this one which will be making its proper playoff debut? This team has never done this so there is no way to predict anything. There is no franchise long behaviour to point to spanning different groups.

Your Mother's House.
If they lose in reg then we clinch since they can only tie us at 98 and we hold the tier breaker of regulation win (39 vs 28)

We actually lead the league in regulation win along with the Jets
We could have clinched first but now we are trying to clinch 7th in the loser way. Good ol Canucks.

Also how embarrassing to get shut out by the Sharks when you're season is on the line. Even if it was a long shot. Very Canucks-esque.
