I think this is an excellent marketing strategy .. for the two Melnyk daughters taking over the ship. It would also go good with;
"Should we Fire Dorion to the moon" ; ------? ...... Fire Dorion to the fn moon.

timing is a little off but we can keep it in our back pocket

I understood your "point" just fine. Most of us don't quote tweets just to dunk on them, they're more to continue or start a discussion. I'm not going to engage further with you today because I think at this point it's pretty obvious you know what you're doing especially on this subject.

Congratulations — it's a good time to be a Sens fan. Wish you'd help these boards reflect that reality a little better.

Twitter is a big part of the local fan base… and a source of much of the commentary on here. Let’s not pretend it isn’t.

Are any of the twitter accounts you speak of bashing Dorion for the DeBrincat trade ? Do you think maybe if Dorion makes good moves and the team starts winning that these said twitter accounts and the commentary around here will change ? Do you mind sharing your twitter handle so we can see what you are contributing to Sens twitter ?

I think that Dorion did a pretty damn good job with the rebuilt, did he made some mistakes yes he did, but name me one GM that never make mistakes? I think that some poster here don't like Dorion because of what he says sometimes, they don't like his personality. It's always easier to be a GM on a message board then it is in the real world. But that's what fans do, they always theink they're smarter then the coach or the GM, thats what being a fan is all about and especially nowadays with social media everyone can tweet their opinion. So myself I'm pretty happy with Dorion, me I just watch the game, im not a GM I'm not a coach I'm just a fan who loves the Sens.
I think its more like human nature. People criticize their bosses and management of the companies they work for. It's human nature.

The weird part is thinking that you will go to a message board on the Internet and think you won't read a wide, diverging range of opinions including some messages that are critical.

And I'm narrowing these comments to HF versus Twitter. I couldn't care less about Twitter tbh.

I think it's possible to have a foot in both camps here. Yes, Dorion made a great trade that should set us up to be competitive for the near future. But, like... we weren't competitive under his reign so far, and a few unforced errors played into that.

Life's not binary. It doesn't have to be one or the other. He was a GM who, coming into the draft, had a bad track record. He's now pulled off a heist and deserves some credit for it. This move might shape the future, but it sure doesn't erase what he's done so far.

And on that note, I have to wonder why a tweet commending the Melnyks is being posted in this thread. Feels a little off-topic for the Dorion thread.
Buuuuuuuuuut, you do love the core that’s being assembled doubt the rebuild, and that is his primary concern right now. DeBrincat is some serious chocolate icing right now. ;)

The Dorion haters admitted it was a great job done by Pierre and a great step in the right direction, would be nice to see the Dorion Defenders admit when he does something bad though.
We do, all the time, we just don’t do it with enough vigour so it doesn’t seem to count.

;)

What are you calling his biggest loss? Zbad?

Mark Stone is easily his biggest loss IMO. Trading a world class player and getting a player that you misevaluated so badly that it is years later and he can barely crack the lineup. Brutal.

The dorion “haters” will always get hype when he makes a good move and will always say. The apologists essentially never ever admit as move is bad.
100%. If Dorion makes a series of great moves that propels us in to success, everyone will give him all the kudos in the world and applaud him, just like after yesterdays move.

Yes, it could be Stone. There are multiple candidates I suppose. I just wondered what he (the poster I replied to) thought was the worst trade or move. No answer so far.

Based on the context of it, I'd imagine the parallel was being drawn to the Duchene trade? If the SJ trade was lucky with how SJ bottomed out, then the same logic could be used on Ottawa bottoming out after the deal. I have some personal misgivings with how that logic is applied — Ottawa was a far more likely bet to bottom out than SJ was, even at the time of the deal the wheels were starting to fall off... to say nothing of the fact that I don't think that deal was awful on the surface — but I believe that was the intent. Sure I'll be corrected if I'm mistaken.

I view the two as the same level of boneheaded moves. Zibanejad and Stone trades were horrible.

are u just trolling or can you not follow a simple discussion? No one is saying that.
HFSens is not Twitter.

Another mod called you out for being divisive when responding to someone who said HSSens posters who are vocal about their dislike for Dorion can admit when he pulls off a good move with "screw the haters".

You responded to being called divisive with "but Twitter".

It looks and sounds to me like you are waging a war against Twitter users you dislike on HFSens. You should spend less time on Twitter if you are conflating HFSens and Twitter.
