He's buying himself SO much good will this week. Dang. Maybe Melnyk really was the one and only problem?

unless Melnyk made him specifically go after guys like Stepan, Gudbranson, JBrown etc I doubt it was allll Yuge. Seems like PD has been able to learn from past mistakes. Looking less stubborn than some of us believe.

He's not completely changed every one's minds yet. It takes time to get back confidence from some, but he's on the right track.

I blame their lack of pro scouting on those moves, which was also immediately addressed as soon as Melnyk no longer owned the team.

For sure. Can't erase his past track record... but it feels like the teeter-totter post Eugene is getting more and more one-sided so far.

they have huge blame for sure, but he shouldn't have been so out of the loop in terms of if these players were actually good or not. Of course listen to your scouts, but also check out your future investment yourself especially with money being so tight. You sure be 110% about bring the player in.

Why is everyone trying to get rid of Formenton...

Plays soft, selfish, projects as our 4LW soon and will want $$$$…. Not to mention the potential of involvement in the London Golf incident. I can’t see him interested in sub $2.0 to play on the 4th line.

Nice player, but we need a 2RD more and he’s worth sacrificing to get one.

We have someone to actually do some in Bowness now
Bowness was not hired to work in pro scouting though.. He has a background and I'm sure they will make use of it where they can.. but his position is not in pro scouting with the sens.

He's GM of Belleville so he'll be doing some pro scouting for sure. Maybe not in the NHL a ton, but scouting the AHL and ECHL quite a bit most likely.

Yeah, we have a guy that knows pro scouting now, that's what changed

Man, I really have a different view of this guy in terms of his on-ice impact.

I don’t doubt that … he could play 3LW for us but he’s not an elite 3LW without playing more physical. I’ll take my chances that Greig is that player and Parker won’t cost $3 + million on the 4th line.

Sure at the AHL level. At the NHL level we have not changed anything with Pro scouting other than having a good resource available to the pro scouting dept.

His position is Assistant GM, which is a bit of a vague position and can include a variety of different responsibilities that varies from team to team. Considering they listed his experience in Pro Scouting as a reason why he is a good hire when they announced he would be joining the team, it's not really a stretch to assume they will make use of his expertise in that department.

You are in the large majority.

The Colin White void must be filled.

We know how that ended … pretty much the opposite of what your large majority insisted.

Why do you take this so personal?? lots of problem criticize lots of players or staff. We literally have multiple threads devoted to proclaiming their faults.
