Murray has shown flashes of a goalie that went on a hot streak at the perfect time, playing with a Vezina partner, at exactly the right time, for a team that had great players. He then got paid for that after showing that he is inconsistant and injury prone for 2 years after his run. Boggles the mind.

Murray has had a pretty rough time in a Sens jersey from covid to injuries

But he posted a 906 save percentage last year with a stretch of terrific play. He needs to be healthy and stay healthy. If he can do that, then I think we are in terrific shape in nets.

Concussions are weird hopefully he is ok and fully rebounded

I think what happens with Zub here is important. I don't think Dorion has been able to retain a significant upcoming UFA through six years of being GM. Not sure how this is acceptable going forward.

Because we used to be able to blame Melnyk for everything and now that’s he’s gone fans think it’s blue skies -the fans needed optimism but they are getting it from places that aren’t real like Kevin Fiala

Why is it Dorion’s fault that players choose better funded markets to play in?

No one is eager to sign with a team that consistantly sits at the bottom of the standings year after year., particularly when the man responsible for getting them there is still in charge. Even his own players had to tell him to step it up.

PD had nothing to hide behind d after firing Mcquire - Mcquire has been blamed for Del Zotto, Boucher at #10 and Gaudette. As if this team wasn’t horrible before he arrived and the recent ink that Mcquires derailed this incredible Plan Dorion had doesn’t equate with me.

What? Fewer fans attended Sens games than any other franchise - fans of Chi, MTL, and PHy Gave their team the benefit of the doubt. The showed up and fillled the coffers despite a brutal product and some grey issues.

Sens fan have been the worst fans in the league at attending and generating revenue.

PD could be heading into UFA here with $20-40 more of fan generated revenue … but he isn’t. Those two girls are floating his budget.

It is weird the players put the GM a on notice and the GM is openly talking about it - culture is important and i don’t think it’s good the players have the tell the GM how bad a job he’s doing and he has to step it up, but Dorion seemed to enjoy it and talked about it openly which is even more bizarre

Its so obvious to all but a few.

Past GMs found a way to do it here, it helps if you don’t acquire a bunch of bad contracts like Zaitsev, White and Murray

Not at all - he’s handed out some terrible contract. There are two Types of and contracts

1) terrible hockey evals
2) the best option he could get to Ottawa …

Chicago had league low attendance before Bill Wirtz died, then it turned around. Sometimes the reasons are right in front of you. You love to talk about bad fans but a bad owner set this franchise back a ton

There is no hiding the reality that PD is heading into UFA with the least amount of fan generated money to attract UFA’s.

Hopefully what A&O and low income revenue sharing provides is enough to outbid the other 31 teams.

Bad product, drunk meddling owner, brutal GM, awful marketing.

Please find a NA pro sports franchise that fits that profile and then compare the fans.

The only 2 comparable franchises I can think of other than Bill Wirtz’s BlackHawks, are bullet proof markets.

1970s and 80s Leafs.
Current New York Knicks.

There is no hiding the reality that PD is heading into UFA with the least amount of fan generated money to attract UFA’s.

Hopefully what A&O and low income revenue sharing provides is enough to outbid the other 31 teams.

With pandemic restrictions in the rear view mirror revenue is not the problem. Maybe Dorion makes good moves but if he doesn’t it’s not the fans fault.
