Random but curious, I know theres athletes who use certain type of steroid for their muscle to heal quicker. Is that legal in the NHL? Just wondering since it's not gonna change your performance, just how quickly you'd heal. Or do they count that as a ped?

On to Ottawa.
Just win.
The quick version is that the protocol folks said he had to come off, then changed their minds--but that the on ice refs made him sit a play anyway because an 'injured' player (stoppage forced) has to leave the ice.

it's very, very, very lax to say the least
i think they're more interested in the recreational drugs, i'm pretty sure the testing is a once yearly whole team test during training camp and then you're subject to one random test during the season
this isn't WADA-level stuff going on
that's insane. so he's determined to be "injured" after how many stoppages and how much time, they arbitrarily choose one to actually pull him?The quick version is that the protocol folks said he had to come off, then changed their minds--but that the on ice refs made him sit a play anyway because an 'injured' player (stoppage forced) has to leave the ice.

well i mean, none of that stuff is "legal" in terms of US federal law, they're schedule III drugs as far as the government is concerned. whether or not they're screened for by the NHL is another story and they're pretty tight-lipped about what they test for.I'm just wondering because if it's legal, hopefully Carter can get his hands on it so we can see him come back sooner. What's the deal with gaborik
Was hoping we'd get a point tonight, guys looked gassed by the end of the game. Tomorrow may be ugly.
Hopefully we get the turnstile version of EK
Well, we've arrived. The usual "lol Kings Quick Brown Doughty dirty diver whiner conspiracy" meme posts have arrived!
I would really love for TSN to stop with the geotagging. Not sure why they post links around the social media circuit in the US when the content can't be viewed.
Good game!

was starting to forget how bad Shore is....until tonight
I agreWell a line has to be broken up to get Center depth back. I would hate to move Kempe off wing. Kempe really is a Winger, it's where he has had the most success so far in his career.
Shore has just begun to show competence as a 3C. It is unrealistic to think he can suddenly thrive as a 2C.was starting to forget how bad Shore is....until tonight
hot takeKings lost because of their play not the refs.
