it's very, very, very lax to say the least

i think they're more interested in the recreational drugs, i'm pretty sure the testing is a once yearly whole team test during training camp and then you're subject to one random test during the season

this isn't WADA-level stuff going on

The quick version is that the protocol folks said he had to come off, then changed their minds--but that the on ice refs made him sit a play anyway because an 'injured' player (stoppage forced) has to leave the ice.

Basically the refs told Steven nothing like this had happened before with an injured player, even though they determined he wasn't and had to get off the ice.

I'm just wondering because if it's legal, hopefully Carter can get his hands on it so we can see him come back sooner. What's the deal with gaborik

that's insane. so he's determined to be "injured" after how many stoppages and how much time, they arbitrarily choose one to actually pull him?

this is the stuff that drives me crazy in life in general, like if you made an error, fine. don't compound it by making more and more errors trying to correct it. that's when i start getting mad. this guy the other day missed his turn and started whipping an illegal u-turn 100ft down the road in front of me, didn't see opposing traffic approaching because he made the move so suddenly, now he's stuck in the wrong lane facing the wrong way and can't complete his turn. what does he do? back into traffic that's now approaching him from behind, given how much time has passed, and makes 5 other people stop suddenly so that he can drive the way he originally was, still having missed his turn. just sack up, accept your error and move on. fix it later.

well i mean, none of that stuff is "legal" in terms of US federal law, they're schedule III drugs as far as the government is concerned. whether or not they're screened for by the NHL is another story and they're pretty tight-lipped about what they test for.

getting platelet-rich plasma therapy isn't horribly uncommon for injured athletes since it's kind of a boutique procedure and technically not illegal, until they start adding "bonus" HGH which i believe the NHL has outright said they don't test for.

i don't think he's at a point in his career where he needs to dabble in drugs though, he's still in great shape and surgeons are very good. i say let it heal right personally

definitely did seem like a high-effort game

i mean ultimately TOR to OTT is basically like LA to SJ so i don't think there's much of a jet lag excuse so i certainly hope they show up. maybe macD and auger in just to buy a couple guys a blow?

I stopped following them on social media for that exact reason.

Do they still let you view the ads before the video and then tell you it's only available to people in Canada?

It's a fair trade off. You can't watch TSN, Canadians can't watch anything from American providers, which is everything good on TV.

Shore has just begun to show competence as a 3C. It is unrealistic to think he can suddenly thrive as a 2C.
 
Meh. All the talk about TO looking to make up for that 7-0 beating LA gave them, all the talk about Austin Matthews, all the talk about how great the Leafs are... and THAT was what they came with lol? PP LA 0/2. PP TO 1/6.

Good win for them. I don't know if I'd go bragging about THAT win on the other teams board though lol. I guess when you haven't had much to cheer about over the last few years, anything is worth getting excited about.
 
I'm just threadbanning anyone who pops off anymore.

I haven't had to do cleanup like this since the last time we made the playoffs, insane what kind of chestthumping happens so early. It was a great and hyped and close game, don't get all the random "LOL DOMINANT" bullshit.
