Ofcourse he does. But let’s not also forget how well Kempe played in that role.

And other teams battle injuries too. If this weren’t 4 straight years of crap maybe I would buy the injury excuse but this is par for the course since 2014

People forget the ducks were right in the hunt missing their star players for many months. And Kesler is still playing injured.

Quick blew harder tonight than that butter-faced trollop I met at the bar! Don't judge me, big girls need lovin' too.... :naughty::party:

Oiler's were as sloppy as humanly possible after the 1st. Kings beat themselves tonight. Even if they miraculously steal a wild card spot, it's gonna be naaaaassssty.

P.S. What was with Kopitar tonight?

So teams not in playoff contention are just expected to roll over?? It's still the NHL boys

it's a troubling trend though of continually losing to teams out of the playoff picture year over year. Not that they shouldn't be respected or that they'll roll over and die because every NHL team is 'good' and has pride, but remember how many times we've had to say "all we have to do is beat Edmonton/Vancouver/Calgary/Arizona" and lost points.

A lot but tell me a team who HASN'T done that?

And they're literally tied with us in points.

You're the third person to make this fallacious argument.

Funny that you're using the teams literally right next to us and within a couple of points as an example that injuries don't matter when they have almost exactly the same results. Your argument just shot itself in the face.

No. You’re the one making an excuse!

Injuries are a part of the game and everyone goes through them.

Once again this team controls its own destiny and lays an egg vs a bad team. Edmonton 2015, Winnipeg in 2016 and Edmonton this year.

I mean what do you do RJ. You return the same lineup next year?

My point is, we were only missing Carter. Derek Grant was their first line center. The fact they're tied with us and not behind us is my point.

I do, I look for a tweener type player to solidify the top nine,

So Tampa missing Stamkos last year misses the playoffs, they should have blown it up?

No of course not, there will be tweaks as there should be. I was an advocate of a shakeup trade for a heart transplant a long time ago and if we were to miss the playoffs I'd still be a fan of that.

I'm saying that you're saying "look the Ducks and Sharks had injuries and they're fine" while they're literally right next to us...what kind of argument is that? You're proving me right!

The Ducks have had a revolving door of top guys going in and out of the lineup. We shouldn't be tied with them in points, but that's the typical Ducks for you. Our lack of depth and Toffoli's and Pearson's inconsistent game have set us behind.

Basically need to go 4-2 to get to 97. Vs. CGY, vs. ARI, @Anaheim, vs. Colorado, vs. Minny, vs. Dallas. Not easy, but I'd probably rather play those teams than Edmonton 6 times sadly.

HAVE TO win at least the next two and take a point in Anaheim.
