Just for funsies:

Kings have only straight up won in regulation--and an ugly win at that--vs. Detroit, 0-5-2 and a strong candidate for worst in the league.

16 GA, 4 GF in the last few games, and one of those teams is the Isles on a back-to-back, and it was their depth players doing all the damage, signaling a lack of work ethic.

So, the question is, we play the Sabres on Sat, and funny enough, they beat a team 3-0, and just lost 4-1 and 5-1. Does that mean we win 7-2 on Saturday? Or can we ****ing suck balls again and will that be the nail in Stevens' coffin? This is arguably the easiest stretch of games in the last few years--yes there's parity in the league and there are no 'easy' games, particularly when people are looking to get established--so to come out of this reeling already with no identity, arguably the best d-man in the league with no confidence, and losing ground in every possible game situation, and showing no heart that I've seen (no fights at all? slashing calls, not even roughing?) will that be enough to affect change?

I can't wait to see what Blake has to say after tonight. If anything. I'm almost tempted to go to Saturday's game just for the blood.

I'm glad that the writers are calling out the team. Feel like they've been too soft on them the past couple years. Enough of the ****ing bull**** hockey.

Yeah, strongest words I've seen out of them maybe ever, even on the eve of Murray's departure.

Postgame show sounds like a golf tourney that I wake up to hungover.

The more Stevens talks and the way he carries himself, he does nothing to inspire hope into fans, and if that's how he is to media, I can't imagine how hollow the room is.

The only good thing to say is they got a power play goal. That's it. I mean, wow. I've seen some bad hockey as a Kings fan for better part of my life, but this was just amazing. Even the 10-0 games didn't feel this bad.

No need to trade anyone (yet). Fire Stevens. The team needs to play under an actual hockey system implemented by an actual NHL-caliber head coach before we can judge anyone. THEN the new coach can help determine who needs to stay and who needs to go.

Wow I don't know if I've ever been so inspired!

All I can say is I'm glad I had work tonight, I just burst into laughter when I saw the final score. What else can you do but laugh at this point

Holy **** I just realized I have 38 more games to go to as a season ticket holder. Can't even sell them since no one even wants to go anymore either.

Dude. So. Empty. Tonight.

Yup. Team needs an on-ice vision before you make off-ice moves in pursuit of it.

One thing I've always admired about Martinez is he always faces the music. Same with Kopitar.

f*** you for not owning anything tonight, Drew and Jeff. Sick of Drew being a primadonna for soundbites before the game then ducking the media after the game. No "A"s answering questions.

what questions are there to answer after a 7-2 loss or a season this bad? I respect Martinez and Pearson sticking around but I dont have a problem if others know the **** hit the fan and want to leave and brood on it. it's hard to determine if players dont care and and dont talk cause it's easier or if they are struggling with the losses and are trying to deal with it the best they can

“First of all, it’s embarrassing,” Alec Martinez said after a 7-2 loss to the New York Islanders at Staples Center.

“I think we have some soul-searching to do. I think what happened there at the end was unacceptable. It’s not about a guy in particular, it’s all of us. We’ve got to figure some things out.”
