2-5-3 against the West.
2-3-2 against the Pacific.
3-6-2 in November.
7-8-2, and 4-8-5 in regulation, since Carter went down.

I'm starting to wonder if the hot start was just the Kings surprising teams with their new playing style. Now that they are thoroughly scouted every team has a pretty easy book of how to beat the Kings. Teams pretty much play Sutter style hockey against the new Kings and its 100% effective, they have no answer.

No, they were just scoring on a lot of shots. Now they're not. There aren't many surprising things that happen in the league. Brown hasn't scored a 5v5 goal since Oct 11. Iafallo has 1 goal all year. Top line wingers. Kempe has 1 goal in 12 games. Kopitar with 3 in 16. Pearson with 4 in 23 games, and 3 in 19.

I dont like Andreoff either but he looked good tonight seems like a weird game to pick to have that argument after.

Yeah, he was actually doing what everyone in the org has wanted him to do, being disruptive without the puck and decisive with it. I liked his game. Too bad it's only one out of many :P

Muzzin, on the other hand...I've spent a lot of time sort of going to bat for him but man his game tonight was Randy Jones at his worst. Indefensible effort all around. What the f***.

Usually those things take time to correct, though. They went from sizzling hot to absolutely ice cold. I'm sure their 5v5 shooting percentage right now is absolutely abysmal and it shouldn't be, they've been getting opportunities.

Yep, 9.0% at 5v5 thru the Ducks game, with a PDO of 1024. Since then, 4.7% at ES with 979 PDO.

Shit cocktail: one part crap play, one part crap luck, .5 portion crap coaching, shake well and serve over ice.

I've been saying to trade Muzzin for a long time now while most people were pumping trade Martinez for a winger. It sucks that I was right, wish I wasn't and we didn't have to watch his trade value fall lower and lower.

I didn't think we should trade either. We clearly can't afford to. The problem is Muzzin is a key player and as good as he was to start the season, he's been a large order of magnitude worse lately. Yet, there's literally no one to take his spot. But as time goes on, he's seeming to get more unreliable. High highs, very low lows.

Can't argue that. 130 point team in October, and a 60 point team so far in November. Basically used up all their luck in Boston.

Ugh, Stevens, I'm starting to lose faith. Kopitar played 24:11 tonight. That's only a few seconds less that Doughty and Muzzin and OEL. Only three players--all minute munching d-men--got more ice time.

I get it play your studs but AK is a dead man at this rate. What's he going to look like tomorrow?

Sorry to be pessimistic, but if we can't beat Phoenix this year...

The Kings also play the Ducks tomorrow.

I'm not expecting that one to go well, at all.
Doesn't look good for the Kings if the Ducks back up goalies playing and the mentality of Ducks team don't make excuses their star players are injured and still win lol.

I haven't seen anything good from him all year. From game 1, he's looked like he did last year. The last 105 games, plus the World Cup.

Signs of a desperate coach.

And at the same time, who else do you want out there right now? Kempe can't win a faceoff, and Shore and Jokinen can't score. Kempe can't score lately either. More like a desperate situation than just the coach. Wish some of the players played with that same desperation, because they're bleeding points.

Kopi is gonna be dead weight by the time Carter comes back. Blake needs to do something asap. Trade Muzzin if you have to.

Yeah, it's ugly.

If you don't want Muzzin because of how he's played, why would someone else, with a job on the line, want him?

And what is something? He's already made 2 trades. How many other GM's have made 2 trades this year? He's been very active. The issue is you need another team to make a trade. Who is going to give you a 2nd center? It took a center to get a center in Ottawa. Nashville had some future cap space for Turris.
