On the plus side, Gaborik looked good. Kopitar still looked great. Drew looked great. Big guys trying to do big things but unfortunately our 2nd-tier guys were various shades of meh-to-terrible (Kempe-Pearson-Toffoli, Muzzin) and that's not enough to get it done right now with the extra heaping of **** luck.
I disagree with Drew looking great. He's been playing sloppy the past couple of games.

Too early to start calling for Stevens job? I thought sutters decisions were bad, Jesus Christ I don't want to see the 3th and 4th lines taking all the offensive zone face off she.

Great job against by far the worst team in the league. This team is a joke.
Actually I was thinking the same thing.Stevens is a good assistant coach, not so much head coach.

If you watched the same game I did, you wouldn't need to ask that.

I did watch it, and again they can't score. They opened up the system knowing they were going to give up more goals. Problem is they aren't scoring more goals. Bringing in another dman in this system isn't going to change shit.

They don't have the personnel to shut teams down, even if they got another top dman. It's just not going to happen.

If you can't score more than a goal or 2 a game you're not going to win shit.

I'm starting to wonder if the hot start was just the Kings surprising teams with their new playing style. Now that they are thoroughly scouted every team has a pretty easy book of how to beat the Kings. Teams pretty much play Sutter style hockey against the new Kings and its 100% effective, they have no answer.

Not sure if this team thinks things will be easy, but they sure make a lot of lazy plays. They Look like they are giving 70% out there half the time. No intensity.

When you're slumping, sometimes you're going to score 2 goals a game and you need to win. Not many teams scoring 3+ goals every single game.

My point is that having a d-man that can actually execute a pass instead of turning pucks over repeatedly in our zone or icing them for no reason helps the offense AND the defense, since I guess that wasn't clear enough.

Thank God stats win games and championships.

They clearly don't, but since you were going "LOL THEY WERE OUTPLAYED" and I was able to present an argument actually drawing on stuff i didn't pull out of my butt, I figured you'd tone it down a little. Guess not.

It's pretty clearly a lot of that. They just either try to get us to turn it over in our zone, and if that's unsuccessful, they just collapse into their own slot and wait for a turnover to capitalize.

Just wait for our savior Mitchell to get his immigration status fix and Kings will ride him to the cup.Lol

Actually I am totally calm,I don't take this stuff personal or serious.I just have fun and state the oblivious.

That's for sure  :naughty:

just giving you a hard time for the freudian slip

Frankly I wouldn't even say we were the 'better team' tonight, just that we did control more of the play. They executed their plan better, and we executed ourselves.

I dont like Andreoff either but he looked good tonight seems like a weird game to pick to have that argument after.

Defense is 100% the problem right now, they constantly turn the puck over and are unable to start a break out. The offense is not getting a chance to play North South hockey cause only Martinez and Doughty are capable of making a pass.
