GDT: GM#19 LA Kings vs Nashville Predators @5:00pm 11/17/18

Love the snarky ass posts from the worst team in the league. Embarrassing...

It is accurate with the banner stuff, but yeah, when the actual team has nothing going for it in the present day, the trash talk is kind of pointless. It would be like Doughty doing the you suck at hockey thing or whatever. It's twitter, so, meh. Or, instagram, whatever. Just, whatever.

Thought we looked good for two periods and I missed the third period due to family function. Guess the Kings play completely nosedived?

Did they run out of steam? Back to back effect? Unfortunate but I’m liking Cal Peterson’s prospects in the nhl.

Nashville turned it up a notch in the third, and the Kings couldn't match.

Hey Blake, time to trade one of the big boys!

deadline: dealing: Carter, Toffoli, Hagelin, Muzzin, Quick. ask Kovalchuk if he wants to still have a shot at a Cup and if so, deal him to a contender.

Deal Voynov if and when he is cleared to comeback. Package one of the above in that deal to get someone decent that can play now. (27 or under; no more 30+ yr olds)
Quick does not deserve to be jettisoned - but Campbell and Petersen are ready and Quick will get a decent return to a contender and he can have another shot at a Cup.
Hopefully, Quick is back in 2 weeks and closer to his play of last year. Can get a good return for him - especially if the Kings retain some. If any team actually asks for Matrinez
or Forbort, deal them too. If can actually deal 4 or so of the above, the team post Feb 26, will be such a mess and the tank can hold on to #31.

Wasn't terribly disappointed tonight, glad we didn't get any points. But the team did play two pretty damn good periods against a beast of a team. Kempe looked good, Peterson looks legit.

I would trade Muzzin and Carter right now. Especially if they can get a first out of a team like NJ, Florida, Carolina, etc. who want to try to get into the playoffs but have a good chance of missing. I actually wouldn't move Kovy. If this team got Hughes and another top 7 or so pick along with Vilardi in the mix, they could turn things around quickly. I hope Kopitar and Doughty keep mailing it in, though. Save it for next year.

Rumor is Blake not rebuilding so I just dont see it.Blakes doing a retool.

Well, yea. No reason that trading Carter and Muzzin can't be part of that. I do think they would be far more likely to hang onto Muzzin. Carter would fetch a good return and they'll either have Vilardi as the #2 or someone from the draft. At this rate Hughes is a real possibility, Kopitar-Hughes-Vilardi down the center becomes more likely each day.

Played with a pulse for two periods against a beastly team, was more fun to watch than the other ones. Actually felt like guys were going to score tonight.

Yet also still completely and utterly outplayed and Petersen nearly John Gibson-ed us into an undeserved point. Hockey gods made it right though.

He must have seen someone in the stands wearing shin-pads.

Post of the thread right here, quoting for posterity. Lost my soda out my nose

Yeah despite the team's shitty play a few of these guys have been visibly good enough to have value. I'd add Toffoli to that list.

You'd have better odds of a Rolls Royce falling out of the sky and landing in your front yard than Carter, Toffoli, Hagelin, Muzzin, and Quick being trading at the deadline.
