The 4th line is terrible. Dowd and Laich both have no points in 8 games and are a -3. Andreoff is -4. Amadio is the only one with a goal and he is a rookie.

The Kings problem the past few seasons was production from the bottom 6. Things were looking good with the Clifford-Shore-Lewis line but with injuries and moving Kempe up it's all gone downhill.

Mersch is leading Ontario in scoring maybe he gets a look?
 
Laich's ice time is ridiculous. He has gotten 2nd line minutes against St.Louis with 15:53. This guy CANNOT create offense at the NHL level and hasn't been able to in about 5 years. Under 10 minutes on the 4th line, no problem. Escalating his minutes due to injuries is a Sutter type mistake, same with Shore, these guys have not earned extra minutes. You could play Shore and Laich 20 minutes and they will come out of the game with no points because they simply aren't good enough. Stop giving them anything more than 4th line minutes, stop doing the Lewis/King Sutter disaster we saw last season.
 
Scoring occasionally would be nice, but most of all the 4th line need to prevent goals and take a regular shift.


Shore is a mystery to me, two awesome first class assists but not good enough offensively.

Our lines will get sorted out when Carts and Cliffy return. Add in a possible Gaborik and we are deep.

Yes I like Amadio and think he would thrive with two burners.

Zatkoff was the worst goalie in the NHL last year, and now that he's gone, Kuemper is trying to be a top candidate. But if you like this status in the next 20 minutes, I'll triple the offer and get an extra cannon for Clifford. 3 for one deal.

BTW I'm very surprised that Kuemper posts on HF. The admiration sometimes the Kings board has for useless plugs astonished me..

Not hard to remember them all when you can count them on one hand.

If you told an NHL team they'd get 5 of 6 points out of their backup, they'd take it and run, but I guess people need something to be miserable about for a team in first place with 2 regulation losses on the season.

Gaborik is almost spent in this league. He's had way too many injuries, all affecting his mobility. He's a complete wildcard re-entering the lineup. I would temper your expectations.

I still thinking Blake's priority should be a 3C.

Point is you'd be saying the same shit if Zatkoff got 5 out of 6 points. Just because they're winning doesn't make the goalie good. Goalies aren't the only ones playing.

I'm sure you'd be kissing Zatkoffs ass if he got 5/6 possible points. Learn to critically think.

Why is that ? This is one of the many places I see people complaining about his production so why not say when he is playing well or up to his contract Just saying complaining vs saying something positive about a player seem like a better use of this forum but that just me

Lach will be gone when Carter is back. Not much to worry about.
 
I'm more ok with Laich than Andreoff. At least he has some defensive and faceoff ability and can get to the spot to make a hit.

AA is getting the softest competition and zone starts on the team and is routinely wrecked up and down the ice. He does literally nothing. I cannot wait until the day he is no longer on this roster. I would rather have anyone that played regular games for the Kings at forward from 2000 until now on the roster than Andy Andreoff. Bring back Ethan Moreau.

I think by 25 game mark we will get a very good understanding as to what kind of season Kopitar will have. Dudes been amazing so far.

14 games played
7 goals 10 assist.

In comparison,
Bergeron (most overrated center in the league) has 7 games played only? 2 goals 5 assists.
