He’s the type of German that might get a contract when he is 23 After further development. He is still very raw and wouldn’t be anything more than a Nico Sturm like player in the NHL anyway.
 
Pennanen is a joke too. Just double Jukka Jalonen's salary if necessary and make him coach the U20 team too.

Yes, this German team cannot beat a team like Finland when they play a solid game, but if their opponent brings anything less, they can make them pay. And Finland played a real lackluster game so far, especially in the second period.

Maybe - Finland is being too cute. Trying to get quality scoring chances Which Germany has done a good job of shutting down.
Germany has been putting pucks on net from anywhere once they gain the zone - there is a reason the power plays in this game have been very importantz

Since I changed careers from Social Work to Construction I’ve really added to my swearing/vulgarity vocabulary, even in different languages -

The 2nd half of the 1st period was controlled by Finland. The 2nd period not so much. The Germans did a much better job and with Merilainen in net a one goal lead would make me nervous as f*** if I was a Finn:laugh:

Well, I can say that most of us are nervous as f. One goal lead is not fun.

That's not possible.
I don't know what plans Jalonen has already made when he retires men's national team.
But i wouldn't be surprised to see him going head coach in NLA or SHL

That track-record what Jalonen has he gets coaching jobs around the world.

Jalonen will get any coaching job in EU if he want's it. His record is too good. I doubt he has any rush though.

Most of Jalonen's decicions make sense to viewers even though they might not agree on how good they are. Pennanen's decisions so far have not been so sensible.
