After BVB succumbs to the pill pushers, Terzic should just say f*** it and lean into his roster's strengths:

Füllkrug - Moukoko
Malen/Adeyemi - Brandt - Bynoe Gittens
Can - Sabitzer
Schlotterbeck - Hummels - Bensebaini/Süle
Köbel

Haller, Malen/Adeyemi, Reus, Reyna, Nmecha, Özcan, Ryersen, Wolf, Bensebaini/Süle

Hoffenheim are officially a normal club again, as Hopp has transferred his controlling stake back to the club.
As one of those rare individuals that actually likes Hoffenheim, this is cool to hear, though they will probably always have a bit more of a warchest than comparable clubs. And for all the hate Hopp has gotten over the years, he has always struck as more a fanboy living the Football Manager dream of taking his childhood team to glory moreso than similarly hated...ahem...sporting projects.

Yeah. Hopp is living out what I thought I would need to do to ever see 1.FCU in the first division  so it's hard for me to begrudge him...especially because he made the club become self-sufficient years ago, so it's not like he has continued to bankroll their presence in the first division.

It seems kind of inevitable that some level of outside investment in clubs is going to continue happening as well. Doesn't Augsburg (among others) have some big outside investors? And hasn't Elversberg's rise (back to back promotions, currently 6th in 2 BL) been assisted with investor funding?

Of course it isn't always successful (e.g. Türkgücü München, lol).

In the relegation battle, Selke puts Köln ahead against Darmstadt after an hour, sliding it in from a corner kick.

Edit: Finally some common sense by ref/VAR, no penalty for Darmstadt, after Hubers' hands were as close and glued to his body as could be, even if the ball hit hs elbow.

Thielmann continues to underwhelm. Kid's talented, but he doesn't move well off the ball or know how to utilize his skill.

Martel still needs plenty of polish before he's ready for the senior NT, especially in possession, but he's gunna be so good if he can get that polish. He's not as dynamic as Cama or Tchou, but has just great instincts, with good physical tools and technical skills.

Didn't notice that HSV and St. Pauli had a game tonight until it was over. Would've loved to watch that.

But where do we rank this on the all time own goal list?

That's just perfectly HSV

Bayern - Union Berlin match postponed because of snow.

If they don't reschedule it to be played during the winter break, Bayern will have a busy spring.

Thank god, I'm still a little too fired up from the U17s adding a WC to their Euro trophy to deal with that emotion

So
no Netherlands
or Italy
or Turkey

will finnish Germany off, but

Scotland
Hungary
Switzerland

will do.

Leipzig with an important win to keep them in the fight for top4, whereas Heidenheim can't increase seperation from the relegation fight.

It could have been much more comfortable for Leipzig, as they hit the woodwork couple of times.

Big game between Leverkusen and BVB today. Everything Leverkusen has done this season has been clinical so I don't really know what to expect of BVB, with their poor form in the BuLi.

I'm not sure at what point I'll start to think Leverkusen can actually challenge Bayern for the title, but even if they miss out, I wouldn't be surprised if they finish a good 15 points ahead of 3rd place.

I like that Terzic is giving the starts to JBG over the more experienced Adeyemi and Malen, because he definitely deserves them right now.

Great sequence to make Ryerson's goal happen, although I was sure it was offside 10-15 passes before the goal. Apparently not.

Nico got lucky Tah shanked that after tossing him aside for Leverkusen's best chance so far.

What a shot from Wirtz. I'd say a shame it was just barely offside if I was neutral.
