I can't remember the exact number but this will be the first time in quite a while Dortmund is held scoreless at home in the Bundesliga.

Jinxed him haha

3-2 now for Leverkusen after Hoffenheim managed to get back into the game. That DM @cgf likes with a sweet strike of the ball to punish Hradecky for his mistake.

Yeah, terrible interrupted pass by Hradecky. Luckily for Neverkusen Grimaldo with his 2nd good goal in the match sealed the deal.

Even with playing 3 CBs, I think Leverkusen has one too many a very good CB, who has to sit in every match, since they don't seem to be suffering from injuries pretty much never. Based on age, Tah would seem to be the obvious candidate to leave at season's end.

Is there any future for Patrick Schick at Leverkusen after his return from injury? Probably not, as Hlozek seems more suitable option to backup Boniface. I suppose a team like Milan could use him to replace Giroud.

Köln at the foot of table after a home draw against their usual bogey team Augsburg. They probably didn't even deserve that one point as the visitors e.g hit the post. Match also ascended into lots of nasty fouls towards the end.

Luckily likes of Darmstadt and Heidenheim are quite bad, so there's still a chance to avoid at least a direct relegation without being any good.

Leipzig with a surprisingly lucklustre loss at Mainz. Klostermann and Simakan were terrible, bad positioning by them coupled with non-existent defensive effort resulting in goals being conceded. it's also time to end starting Blaswich in goal, he didn't do well. Gulasci has been on the bench for a few matches already after his injury, time to reintroduce him.

Bayern's loss in the cup was the worst thing that could have happened to Dortmund. They're hungry.

Upamecano with a legendary moment. He tells Schlotterbeck a joke, makes him laugh, that at the corner blows by him and scores haha

That Sane-Kane combo is pure class.

Neuer with some good saves, so he is still up to it after his long injury lay-off.

Yes, Kane continued his red hot form, and Sane was probably the man of the match.

It speaks volumes when your best player in a 0:4 loss was your goalie.
How is Schlotterbeck even a regular player on a top 5 Bundesliga club?

Btw. Coman is a fine football player. We know Sane is (if he wants to) and Harry is special.

Cause he’s still young and not consistently dominant like he was against Newcastle. He’ll move on to a bigger club soon…especially given he’s been one of their few non-Köbel bright spots this season…but he’s not ready for the jump yet.

What club would want this liability? He is not a good defender.

Did he have a bad game or something? Nico’s really good & one of the few dortmund outfielders having a good season...Brandt's been their best non-Köbel player, followed by some combo of Malen, Mats & Nico.

Watch the Newcastle or Milan matches if you’re curious why bigger clubs will soon come for him.

He and Süle were both terrible.

That's what I assumed from BE's comment, but one bad game doesn't a season or career make. Upamecano had the worst game I've ever seen a CB play last season and he's one of the best CBs in the sport. Similarly, no matter how awful Nico was against Bayern doesn't change how good he's been for them this season outside of that match.

EDIT:
Shame that Süle didn't stay with Bayern, Nagelsmann has been the only coach to get big Nik's best out of him on a week to week basis and he had Süle back on track in Bavaria. I joke about Bensebaini seeming not to pay attention for BVB, but Süle just seems completely out of it. He was up & down last year, but this season he's just been a disaster.

Schlotterbeck has been mostly fine in the Bundesliga, though they struggled against Bayern and Frankfurt and I guess only really played Hoffenheim and Freiburg out of the other top teams in the league. Just as the one-off Bayern match doesn't set the norm for how he's played, the one-off Newcastle match you're pointing to also doesn't. I basically think he's somewhere well in between where BE rates him and you do, lol--though ultimately just wish he'd stayed with Freiburg to begin with, he was so good with Lienhart that last season and would have been fun to see the two of them with Ginter.

It wasn’t only the Newcastle match, that was just the game in which his influence was most visible & probably his best performance of the season so far considering the opponent.

But the Frankfurt & Bayern matches were his first poor games of the season. He was excellent against Milan, us, Werder, Wolfsburg, etc…and even did perfectly fine in their defeat to PSG.

I’m not hyping him as the defender of the season or anything, just reacting to BE’s hyperbole since he’s one of the few dortmunder’s having a good season.

After more than a year, Jonathan Burkardt is back in training for Mainz. Hope he can make a full recovery at some point because a Weiper, Burkardt, Gruda front 3 could be a lot of fun.
