German football season 2023/24

  • Xenforo Cloud has upgraded us to version 2.3.6. Please report any issues you experience.
Some of this summer's buys have been really good like Gosens & Kral, but most, like Hollerbach, Kaufmann, Volland, & Tousart, have been duds...and I had hoped for more from Fofana & Aaronson.

*sigh* At least this means our depth will be stretched less in future weeks, cause we still have work to do to hit that 35pt threshold & be safe.

Martel hasn't had a good return from injury. Last match his foul led to penalty and now he has been sent off in the cup match against Kaiserslautern, who lead 3-2 with 10 mins left.

Köln is a mess. He's done some great things over there, but feels like Baumgart is probably running out of rope...Svensson as well with Mainz.

Martel should come to the Alte Försterei this winter, we could suck together!

FCK have been doing pretty well this season.

Brunner will be allowed back in training and is still expected to be nominated for the U17 WM squad tomorrow.

EDIT:

Mostly the same squad that won the euros, as Brunner did in fact get nominated. Guessing that means we'll start:

Brunner - Moerstedt/Ramsak - Herrmann
Darvich - Ouédraogo
Harchaoui/Osawe
Kabar - Jeltsch - Dal - da Silva Moreira
Schmitt
Maybe the HSV kid that Citeh bought (Alfa-Ruprecht) will take Herrmann's spot, because I don't rate Herrmann's decision making at all. Great tools but the toolbox just isn't there (yet?).

Kinda crazy that Mouki & JBG didn't combine for a goal with the way they were slicing through the hoppenheim defense, but BVB comfortably see off TSG regardless.

Bynoe-Gittens had a very nice match indeed.

Saarbrucken equalizes against Bayern Munchen on the brink of half-time.

Thank god Bayern replaced Nagelsmann with Tuchel...

With 3 goals and 2 assists Can Uzun is behind only Adli for top scorer in the Pokal.

comes to mind. And Tuchel had "a conversation" with Uli Hoeness already days ago.
I hope two things won't happen:

-BvB mess up next weekend
-Xabi so dumb to take the job

P.S. De Ligt will be out for weeks.

After Boateng not being signed, what's the scouting report on Tarek Buchmann, who now seems to be the third choice CB being promoted from the BM II team.

They should be able to rectify that, I hear Urs Fischer could be available soon. :naughty:

Bayern obviously have quality but Hoeneß didn't do Tuchel any favors with the lack of squad depth, especially at mid and on defense. Should have still been plenty to beat Saarbrücken, but...that's the beauty of the Pokal.

Last I heard about him was when he got hurt in early September, but it will be interesting to see how he does if actually called into action. Buchmann's best case scenario is someone like Upamecano and at the youth levels he has shown some truly wonderful instincts to go along with his skills & physical tools...but the kid will be making a huge jump; as he just started playing for BMII this season and he's missed a lot of that start to the campaign.

You're spending too much time with those EPL fanboys, they're having a terrible influence on your behavior.

In reality they'll let Tuchel ride out the season and then Nagelsmann will come back to join Eberl for next season's campaign.

Young Bayern loanee Ibrahimovic scored a goal for Frosinone in the Cup, while being the youngest player on the pitch. He plays and looks like he's 30 though.
