German football season 2023/24

At some point this year I speculated Manuel Neuer would never play a game again.
I was wrong. Thank god.

Harry Kane with an Augenthaler goal

(the goalie, btw, was Uli Stein IIRC)

And yes, I love Musiala.

Can Uzun scores his 5th league goal of the season for Der Club, and the kid got a hat trick in their first cup match. He just signed a 3 year deal this summer, but one has to wonder how much longer they'll be able to keep the 17yo who is playing for Turkish youth NTs.

Kobel took an elbow from Schlotterbeck near his eye, stayed on for a while, but then left the game after going down 2-0.

I like what Reyna's been doing offensively in his first start of the season, but that left side of him and Bensebaini has been awfully exposed defensively. Mostly on Bensebaini I feel but Reyna isn't faultless either. Just a total lack of communication or coordination between the two.

And Sabitzer gives Dortmund some hope for the 2nd half.

Yeah, Bense seems ready for the winterbreak. He’s always been apt to make some dumb decisions but he’s just making tons of them.

Nice layoff from Füllkrug on Dortmund’s goal. Such a shame he needed so many years to get serious about his career.

Moukoko subbed in at halftime, first relevant playing time for him in a while.

Dortmund did well to fight back and earned the draw, but they're still not firing on all cylinders offensively and Bense has looked checked out the past couple of times I've seen him play for them. Just totally absentminded.

I really hope Mouki is loaned/sold this winter if BVB won't give him a regular 30 minutes a game or more. Kid certainly has plenty of room for further growth, but he's ready to play at this level and just knows how to find goals.

Another goal by Leverkusen to make it 2-0, deservedly. Another amazing play by Wirtz. What I love about this Leverkusen team is how badly they want the ball, the pressing is ultra aggressive, none of that passive clogging the passing lanes bullshit, they literally swarm the opponent with the ball. That's on the coach too, Alonso getting them to buy into the system 100%

Truly a huge loss for the league if Alonso goes to Madrid next season. With their penchant for acquiring talent, a well-coached Leverkusen is a scary thing.

Freiburg get one back. They're an average team with a great player in Grifo. And to stop Alonso's ass kissing, he should make some changes already, he's got some good players on the bench and many of his players are winded.

Getting Flo back and better than ever + finally adding a high-skilled deeper midfielder (Xhaka) + Boniface has been massive for the pill pushers this season.

No, why should I? I don't care about French league football.
I did this post, because Auge was a Bayern player decades ago and Kane is a Bayern player today.
Poldi did a long distance goal months ago in the Polish league and I didn't mention it either.

Because I told Jussi to f*** off after he posted the goal for like the first time he posted in the thread

It's such a bummer that the Süle, Tah, Kehrer, Klostermann generation never reached their potential and we didn't have another Khedira/Kramer step up. Wirtz, Musiala, Sane, & Gundogan...with Kimmich, Goretzka / Nmecha, Havertz, Brandt, and Adeyemi / Hofmann / Gnabry for depth...is just a stupid amount of creative talent behind Füllkrug.
