For some reason Gus isn’t getting his flowers from this league. He’s prob a 50 60 pt top 4 dman easily. Drury should be sniffing around a long term extension with this guy asap. Was great in Washington. Love his game now.

I don’t get why he isn’t making any money.

Being out #5 D-man is bonkers. He can also help hide Schneider who as bad as he is is probably better than most #6s. I think our D and goalie are good enough to win the cup. Especially playing a system for once. Though our D broke down a few times today. But outside of the second half of the 2nd period we didn't really give up anything. It's shocking that they got 5 goals somehow.

By the way I’m ready for it. Now that’s a legit matchup third line and Kakko refuses to show us he wants to be a first line player.

Some days it ain't your day. I'd say we win this one 7 out of 10 times
Chances were there, we were probably the better team for most of the game, but some stupid mistakes, some hard work by CBJ and some dumb luck did us in.

Didn't like the first line much. they had the off-side goal taken away but they all looked out of sync and not that threatening. For all the off-season talk about Laf, KK has started very slowly.
Panarin is moving his feet much better and looks confident with the puck. That line's passing dried up a bit but they still look dangerous.
Congrats to Cuylle on what should be the first of many. Trochek and Wheeler have een really inconsistent in what the bring.

The two Schneider/Jones turnovers that lead to goals were really bad. Outside of that i didn't mind Jones overall and like his shot, he will need a steady partner if he's going to make it.
Like Gus' game. he played an up-tempo style. There's some mistakes in there, as there are with most D, but he gets to the right spots

Wouldn't it be wild if Cuyle becomes what we expected Lias to become? Actually the fact that that's even possible is a credit to the Cuyle pick and a blemish for the Lias pick because Lias never had the ceiling of a #7 overall, even if he hit it.

I wouldn’t agree that trocheck had a good game at all. Thought he was our worst forward but he picked up an assist on Cuylle’s goal.

We attempted like 80 shots

Didn't watch, but when you outshoot the opponent 2-1, and the opponent has 20+ shots, shooting is not the issue.

Sucks we lost, but 57% in the dots, 42 shots leads me to believe we played well.

Am I wrong?

In the third CBJ turtled completely and basically just lobbied pucks into the neutral zone. Of course that is going to skew shooting stats.

When you add this to inconsistent refereeing and the now ridiculously mind numbing hair offside challenge, I really question why I watch the game. It only gets worse once the playoffs roll around.

I still really like playing hockey though.
