I'm a big football fan but I appreciate that in the NHL there's no player like QB where he has ridiculous outsized importance and there are like 3 good ones in the league. That said it sucks that our best player (arguably) is a goalie almost 20 years in a row. And then you see how there's just no advantage to it in games like this. When Mahomes got outplayed by Wilson it was shocking. Shesterkin gets outplayed by an obscure backup and it's just another day in the NHL.

It's not that the team played poorly or were out worked. Again, it's horrible allocation of ice time. Coaches get so enamored with hard work (fair) that they gloss over complete lack of skill.

If only you coached instead of Laviolette you might have had 4 Stanley Cup appearances instead of 3.

I think Bettman gave the Rangers a directive, too much Vesey and there would be heavy fines coming their way. Otherwise it would be too unfair for the rest of the league.

Gustafsson played over a 100 games in Sweden and another 100+ games in the AHL before he started to get NHL games. Give Jones another 100 games in the AHL and then start from there.

Everybody had a good game. Except Igor. It's rare for him for the team in front to dominate, so he has to bail us out with big saves when they present themselves. He probably didn't understand what was happening. He didn't know the Rangers are allowed to play with the puck too.

For some reason Gus isn’t getting his flowers from this league. He’s prob a 50 60 pt top 4 dman easily. Drury should be sniffing around a long term extension with this guy asap. Was great in Washington. Love his game now.

I think they still tend to rush their shots. The way they move the puck, they are getting good looks. I wouldn't mind if they take a good look before shooting

Because reputation matters for players like him. So does being in the right place.

The system just works to his strengths. I don't think he's a top 4 D but hes essentially exactly what you want out of half of a bottom pair.

He should be on PP2 also.
