Oh, how are you liking WotR? Loved the first pathfinder game.

Edit. I should just buy it. Forst game rocked and I love listening to Pathfinder actual play podcasts.
I loved Kingmaker up until the King part of it. Too many hidden timers for my liking after the kingdom part opened up (so many that I've never beaten the game out of sheer frustration). That said, they've got only one hidden timer that I know of in WotR, and it's not a game breaking one. They also vastly improved the kingdom part, now called Crusade mode. Personally, I'm having a blast with the game.

I saw a video that mentioned the only reason it's still being made is because they had an agreement with the government of Singapore that required them to release it by a certain date, but that it's been effectively mismanaged and botched beyond repair. Hopefully they can still release a somewhat entertaining game, but it sounds like it doesn't have much support from Ubisoft even now.

Ya I’m sure whenever it does come out it will be utter trash.

I'm downloading.

What I'm really looking forward to is the Warhammer 40k game by these same devs. Should be good.

And BG3, of course. Feels like that's been in early access forever now.

Heh, two years, today.

I hope WotR goes well for you. I'd hate to have a recommendation go bad.

LOL. It's in a humble bundle right now.
I feel bad for Soldier13Fox and his sense of timing, but holy **** that's an awesome bundle this time! (if you love RPG's) I have strong reservations about Beamdog, but even still, if I didn't own basically the whole thing already, I'd get that bundle right now.

I bought it. I had none of the games so it worth it for me.

My pc/gpu is so old it can't run the new games, so time to look at upgrades. I've been trying to hold out for Pantheon MMO to come out, but that seems like it's stuck in a never ending pre-alpha state. They do release updates every month and it shows the progress they've made, but I'm getting impatient at this point.

Hahaha. I have a LONG history of paying full price for games when I don't need to. Although, if the bundle included all the Beamdog stuff I do already have all that. Truth be told, I haven't even booted it up yet. Actually having a bit of fun with AC Valhalla. Better than Odyssey (didn't care for it at all) close to on par with Origins (which I thought was the best entry in the series, even better then the Ezio stuff). PS5 version is really gorgeous and runs silly smooth. Same type of stuff as all the other games, but love the setting. Probably start playing WotR while watching football and hockey.

Edit. Yeah I had everything except mythforce.

I've been playing Greedfall. The combat is meh, the graphics are pretty good, but I'm really liking the storyline and the decisions made in game seem to matter. For $20 or less I consider it a good buy.

Replaying God of War before the new one comes out. Game is still as incredible as it was the first time I played it.

I was supposed to get my copy of Ragnarok delivered today but it got delayed until next week :( Typically doesn't happen with Amazon but oh well.

Hope you got it by now, it is VERY good. Completely on the curious side... why order a physical copy? I've thrown so many ps1, ps2, DVD, ps3, HD DVD (truly thought it was going to win) discs away. I've grown to love 100% digital

I'm a physical copy person for a few reasons.
-The shopping experience itself. It gives me the little kid feeling of going to the store, spending my own money with the checkout person, then getting home all excited to open it up and start playing. It's like going out to A&W drive-in during the summer to get a rootbeer as a treat.
-PS4 games are $10 cheaper and come with the free PS5 upgrade.
-Gamestop 7 day return policy. I don;t use it often, but for games I beat too quickly or just didn't like I'll go get something else instead.
-I will rent games from the Blockbuster type of store. It's why I wouldn't buy the no disk drive/digital only PS5.
-I let my kid and her friends barrow my games. It keeps them out of my area and I get to keep some of my sanity for awhile longer.
-The PS store on the console make me angry when I use it. TBF most newfangled technology makes me angry when I use it.

Yeah, good question. Not really sure to be honest. I did it this time because I had reward points/dollars from Amazon so I ordered it from there. If I do want it immediately I have downloaded it from the PS store before right when it comes out too. I think there still is something neat about having the actual game case.

I did end up getting it on Monday. Just getting into it. Looks incredible. Can't wait to keep going.

Still, slowly, working my way through GoWR and thought I needed a side game that's a bit more relaxed. So I got to thinking about RDR2 and how I bounced off that game 3 times until it finally grabbed me and became my favorite game of all time. This led me to re-download Death Stranding for the 3rd or 4th time to give it another shot.

Kojima is an absolute mad lad.

Maniac, genius, narcissist, talented, touched, deranged, brilliant, stupid...

MGS games were always a bit out there, but dang... Death Stranding is just something else. We'll see if it finally grabs me. It's beautiful (ps5), the soundtrack is killer, and the gameplay is unique (to say the least).

I'm still in a lull for ps games. I've been considering NHL23, because it's cheap at walmart, but the NHL games haven't grabbed my interest. I've been playing some of the random ps+ games but I get bored with them after a bit and just delete them.

I've been having some fun breaking/exploiting pc games after watching the spiffing brit on youtube.

Finished Metro 2033 Redux a few days ago. pretty cool game and a good looking one at that. I plan on finishing out the rest of the serious in the future.

Started us Horizon Zero Dawn yesterday and it seems to be a cool game. Graphics are top notch. I just hope i can get immersed into the storyline/ world. I can tell its a port to PC though and it bugs me. Some of the UI and key bindings are booty.

Both are great games. I still haven't got around to the newest Metro nor the new Horizon. Eventually though!

I tried HDZ on a pc (not my pos). Plugging in and using a ps4 controller to the pc made everything "feel" much better in how it plays.

Yeah really enjoyed metro. Loved the world and the feel to it. I heard Exodus (the newest one) is extremely immersive and atmospheric. 2 things I look for in video games and are almost a must for me.

I’m at the point where I can’t even pick up a controller and feel comfortable with it. So I just make do and either get used to the controls or change up the key binds. I don’t even think I own a controller anymore. So I guess I shouldn’t complain about the port then.

That stinks. The keybinds for HDZ shouldn't be too bad to respec to something that works for you. A MMO mouse (if you can use it) with multiple buttons might work well for you?

Ive never been into MMO mouses, i just us a final mouse phantom that i got years ago, that has 2 keybinds on the side of the mouse and thats it, and it still works pretty well. The keybindings themselves arent an issue they just feel cluttered, like pressing V to use that ear piece thing, then hitting G to track and enemy with the same device. Or holding TAB to go into your wepoaon/ arrow satchel and using your mouse to go through it, then using LMB to craft that certain type of arrow. Maybe i worded it poorly.
