I was talking about was the number of people watching IHWC relative to the amount of hockey fans in a given country.

In North America people don't care about IHWC at all. The ratings in the US have been about the same as in Latvia a few times. In absolute numbers. Population of Latvia: 2 million. Population of the US - 320M.

I thought it was common knowledge around here.

False - A lot hockey fans do care about IHWC games North America. Not 100% of hockey fans watch the IIHF games in Europe and North America for various reasons...time constraints is huge. For instance 6AM and 3AM on the west coast of NA are a big reason(s).

Unless I'm mistaken, Gibson is currently the starting goalie for Norfolk in the AHL. If Norfolk loses in the first round of the playoffs (against Manchester) I suppose he might be avaliable...

Correct and Manchester has been good all year so that matchup could end quickly. Would love to see Gibson!

Here's hoping Anaheim loses to Dallas. I have a feeling Gibson will be our only hope.

A very mediocre looking team, even compared to our past rosters, but with a strong performance in net from Gibson and our defense looking to be decent, we might be surprisingly good.

Always fun to watch this team anyway, no matter how good the roster is. Let's go boys!

That's not what I was saying. I was saying that even if Anaheim is eliminated, Etem and Gibson's ability to join the team will be tied to the fate of the Norfolk Admirals. If the Admirals are still in the playoffs, then those two won't be available for the US.

I was rooting for Columbus to beat the Penguins, but no longer, come on Penguins beat team USA so we can get some damn players!!

Could be bittersweet because if Columbus is out then Canada gets Ryan Johansen and Ryan Murray as well.

I doubt we see any of the big boys at this one. They repped USA at the Olympics. Time for them to rest.

Alex Goligoski and Tim Thomas are obvious targets now.

I can't imagine anyone worthwhile from the Blues would consider playing.

There are a couple guys on that squad that could really bring up the quality of this roster.

Our luck we get Glendening..............The goaltending situation is strange as there are some good options:

Anderson (what happened there?)
Schneider (is he a RFA?)
Howard

I'd take Thomas if it came down to it.

Gotta say guys, I really hope you don't find another goalie, and have to run with Hellebuyck.
