Sokolov being scratched is much more concerning to me.

Pretty much we should forget about Sokolov. Wild have never been high on him. He'll head back to Russia.

I don't mean to rag on Pronman because I think his job is basically impossible, but his opinion isn't enough to move mine very far in either direction. Between what Boldy's coaches say about him and what I've seen from him personally he seems like he's doing just fine.

i sure hope he stays & works on his game rather than heads back to Russia. he appears to have such a deadly shot it will be ashame if we lose him. do we keep his rights if he walks?

Having a deadly shot and that’s it is how you end up as Teemu Pulkkinen.

If there was a way to measure "board mentions" per year under contract, Pulkkinen would have to be high on our list. It's been 3 years and it seems like he still comes up once a week

It's justified. Pulkkinen was just the archetype of That Player.

all shot any nothing else? seems rather exact yes. his playtime in the AHL somewhat proves that.

Sokolov, in my opinion, has actual offensive ability. He’s just 30 pounds overweight and doesn’t give a shit

Probably, but meh. He was a 7th rounder. Who really cares? Intriguing prospect that never put together his game.

He still has a year+ left on his ELC. He can't go to Russia unless the Wild give him an unconditional release. If they did that they wouldn't own his rights.

Maybe it'll be the wakeup call that Sokolov needs, or maybe he just washes out of the league?
